jallen69 Posted February 23, 2011 Author Share Posted February 23, 2011 If the oil light is on , and the engine is tapping and has no power you have damaged the big end bearings (the engine is seizing up ) anymore runing /driving of the car will only damage the engine more . by the sounds of it you will be looking at an engine rebuild or a second hand engine . johngreen537 Posted February 23, 2011 Share Posted February 23, 2011 lol mate, maybe it's coincidence then....Generally though, big end bearing issues make a good motor sounds like an old diesel tractor If you tappets are loud sounding, and you loosing power, Maybe an injector has been damaged...
