Grant
Right then people..I think that its about time that i started this thread.. We'll start from the begining.. I got this car from a freind who had put it side ways into a water barrel and wrecked the offside wing, door & rr quarter.. It sat on his drive for 6 months until i went round with a trailor and had it off him for £50!!It was a standard 1.5 nonvtec with 98k on the clock.. wasnt in bad condition tbh..Original plan was to get it stripped, sort out suspension and track it with the 1.5.. OH how things change...... Engine:B18C4New belt, tensioners and water pumpSkunk2 pro inlet manifoldCleaned and polished standard throttle bodie3.5" chrome inlet armMassive air filterShort through gear shift2.5" stainless exhaust manifoldCustom 2.5" full decatted system4" exit canChassis & breaking:Fully undersealed underbodyHSD HR coiloversFront hubs taken from the MB6 donor car so 282mm disc which will be ADL BlueprintHawk HP+ front padsHEL braided linesCustom and home built 8 point weld in roll cageInterior:Not alot, fully stripped including sh*ty black sound deadening1 cobrea bucket seat & harenessstearing wheel, gear know and pedals!Dont need anymore!Perspex front and rr windowsWheels & tyres:Standard MB6 alloys on the front with 195/50r15 toyo r888's on..New ish civic wheels on the back also with toyo's..i dont have many pics of when i first got it but heres a few after i began the stripping and painting of the interior.. A glimps as to what the finished look will be..Now after not too long i was talked into going for more power, so i found this mb6 in london with just shy of 80k full service history for only £900..So a couple of weeks past and myself and my two good mates dave and dave began the conversion.. Was told it wasnt too difficult HA!out with the old..Out with the new..New skunk2 inlet and shiney exhaust manifolds..And not so very gently make the fu**er fit.. Finally in (with some welding and modification to the mounts and loom) and it started first time!!! It then went to daves garage in cheltnam where we have done alot of work to her..Undersealed and made up exhaustThen started the roll cage23m of 42mmX2mm thick tude1 hydralic benderSupport boxes for all the feet of the cage..Desound deading..And finaly alot of bending, cutting, welding, swearing, blood and a couple of tears its finally finished.. But not yet in the car because the paint was wet..And thats where we are atm..Lots still to do and buy and not alot of time to do it!! May not be everyones taste but i love the fact that i have taken EVERYTHING apart on this car and put it all back together again!! And that its built by my own hand!!Im at the garge twice a week so expect regular updates!!Right then, this thread has been properly neglected for quite a while..Little update, but as most of you know it is now completed and did really well at japfest back in may!! heres a few more pics and some of the finished thing...Tin sun roof Skinned doorsADL blueprint discs, hawk hp+ pads and HEL lines..HSD's Before sprayingAnd afterwardsAnd then at japfest..Also, never really thought about putting her up before but think it may be worth it!!This is my accord sport, bought her 2years ago now, only 70000 on and runs like a dream.. Only thing on it is a K&N upfront, but i think she cleans up pretty well for almost 10 years old and being my family car with two delighful daughters who walk ever so close to it with scooters and bikes etc And now it has been tucked up for winter and im cleaning, spraying the block, ive baffled the sump, welded in a couple more support bars for the cage, new stage 3 clutch and light weight flywheel coming soon and welded and painted bay.. Also new accord radiator (which is twice the size of standard) bonnet pins, some other little bits too but ill post up piccys when im done.. Grant
Got her dyno'd last year at 180...The reason i got the car was that my mate had crashed it.. The offside wing, door and rr quarter were shagged.. Didnt have the time to replace rr quarter before japfest last year so put a thin sheet of steel over it..That is the reason mate
