Shaddow
Hi,Just been looking around for what size speakers to use for replacing mine in my MB6. Found some links on here but all a bit confusing as some say 4" some 4.5" etc. Can I please confirm what size speakers I require for both front and back. And are all tweeter sizes standard? Thanks
ryan..
rears are 4" or 10cmfronts are 6" but can fit 6.5" with little effortNot all tweeters are the same size but you should be able to fit 90% of tweeters in the mirror sails
Shaddow
Thanks, can anyone recommend a good make to go for? I was thinking of Pioneer to go with my Pioneer headunit.
ryan..
pioneer should be ok, or jbl dont need to spend much at all as you are only running them off the headunit

Shaddow
Have been looking round for some and found VIBE BLACK AIR 6 COMPONENT SPEAKER for a good price. They have one of the highest RMS vlaue I have seen in component speaker, so always good and good price as well. I currently have a amp & sub in car, but looking to remove the sub, but keep the amp to assist with the speakers.Does anyone know if they will fit? They are pretty deep and have a sizeble magnet on them. If not, what is the maximum size allowed within the door card? Thanks
ryan..
vibe components (imo) are some of the worst sounding speakers i've ever heardHigh rms does not mean much at all. Mine are 180wrms but sound good off 60wrmsYou should fit a wodden baffle to help fit the speaker and give it a solid base to attach to so you should be fine depth wiseThese are the mids I have and they fit with an 18mm baffle:
Shaddow
Ah ok, thanks for the heads up on Vibe Component. Will probably just go for Pioneer components then to go with the head unit. Unless anyone can suggest any good speakers for about the £70ish mark. As mentioned, I will prob be running them of a amp.
Greg
I'm running a full apline system in my car at the moment. For £70 get yourself the alpine spg components, they've won a few awards...Easy fit, sound very good. But if you're really after sound quality, sound deaden your car!!
