KiNK43 Posted May 11, 2011 Share Posted May 11, 2011 bit of a poo day.-I can drive for a while and then the car just cuts out and CEL is on.-If i try to start the car soon after it has stalled, engine rocks the car and a real nasty noise almost like a party blower! ( think its coming from air filter but not sure )-Try and start again no noise but just wont start.-Try again 10 mins later and fine although tonite i was making it about 100 yards before it would cut out again.i ditched the car and rang AA. they came and car behaved itself. chap couldnt get it to cut out so he said he would follow me home see what happens. made it about 3 miles then buff gone again. seems down on power too and AA man says it smells rich when it is running.so had the ride of shame on the back of a recovery truck!btw this first happened within minutes of pulling away from petrol station if thats any relevance.I have checked the fault code, it was code 15. Ignition output control.after having a look on the net seems quite a common thing but no real answers.people are changing the entire dizzy and no joy.need help please. supposed to be going to liverpool on saturday. dont think she is gonna get me there.thanks. jake Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
