b18c4 wont vtec!!! need help please

hi all, im new to the site and was just wondering if anyone could help me out. i have an mb6 and last week the engine decided it wouldnt vtec anymore, the car runs fine but thers just no "kick" like ther used to be! when the engine engaged vtec ther was a real diffence in engine note and was quite noticable but now thats all gone, it also doesnt red line or limit like it used to! the engine light isnt on and i have changed the vtec solenoid but to no avail? anyone any ideas? thanks!

Vtec is controlled by oil pressure throttle postion and the ecu so start will those areas . You need to get the car on a dyno and that way you can see what the engine is doing and then you have an idea where to start .
