Joif
Evening Gents,Having an ongoing issue with the engine cutting out randomly, after looking through this forum the symptoms seem similar to the ignition module in the dizzy problem other have been getting, the ECU is reading no faults (light just stays on when testing), its had a recent service including plugs and leads, the arm and dizzy cap have also been replaced. This is an intermittent fault, it can sometimes go 2 or 3 days without an issue or cut out twice in one journey, the car wont bump back in or start until I fully cut the ignition and re-start at which point it will start first time with no problems and drive like nothing has happened and I can be happy as larry for another couple of days, the car is running fine, no loss of power or anything unusual.I'm guessing I'll have to fork out for the full dizzy and see where it goes from there unless anyone else has any suggestions?Cheers

Joif
Guess I'll just have to bite the bullet then, was just worried about wasting more cash on something that might not help the issue. Cheers
ryan..
there is a cheap part which you could try. The fuel pump relay. Its on the drivers side in the dash, pretty easy to get to once you get in the footwell. If this is on its way out it could cause the fuel pump to stop working and no fuel = engine cuts out

Joif
So where are you guys getting your distributors from? Having some difficulty finding them round here unless I go to the main dealer then I'm looking £500+.. Any recommendations or does anyone have a second hand one they know to be working? NIKH25
Pretty sure it does, can't say 100% but the guy says it fits b16s & 18s so should be fine.
