Got some new piston rings yesterday, running like a dream now with no more smoke :)

Unfortunately forgot my camera while we where doing the rebuild so no internal pics.

But resprayed my old spare rocker cover to put on after.

There was some acid substance that went on it first, just bits like the block/gearbox and inlet manifold. Then some other stuff that lifted the dirt, not sure what that stuff was. Then powerwashed off and it was shinin!

Really happy with the result

aye - it looks mint. 1"£££$££"

So was it some kind of DIY cleaning kit?

I polished my rocker cover and it's made the rest of the bay look grotty.

Did you get the bore honed or just do it DIY style?

Doesn't look to bad from a quick google search

remove the Head.

Drop the Oil Pan.

Remove the Connecting Rod from the Crankshaft.

Take the Wooden Handle of a Hammer and push the Connecting Rod and Piston up.

Grab it from up top.

Replace Rings.

Drop the Pistons back down

And Bolt up
