aerodeckcrewser
Hi all I have all my turbo kit for my c4 deck and going to be running it at low boost, can anyone recommend easy install injectors please ?
KiNK43
I would like to know also. I have some injectors, but have now discovered the plastic caps are smashed.Nissan or Mitsubishi would be a good cheap injector id say. Should be easy to install if you get the clips. Some Nissan injectors are high impedance which is ideal. Otherwise resistor box will be needed.440cc should be good for low boost. Fuel pump and adjustable fpr also
noodels
worth a read if not already, like me >> http://beesandgoats.com/boostfaq/g2icturbo.html
aerodeckcrewser
well the stuff I have been reading is really useful, a lot of U.S, use higher cc injectors due to the low fuel octane levels over there. I have then discovered turbo builds around Europe are using lower cc injectors i.e 320cc compared to U.S 440 for low boost but making the same gains using higher octane fuel. How true this is I don't know but think I am going to run around 5- ps using 320cc injectors and a 255 fuel pump on say shell fuel should be fine . aerodeckcrewser
oh thanks for the link noodels and really don't want resistor boxes and all that shizzle that's why I ruled out the dsm injectors
aerodeckcrewser
And I've found this calculation which is handy for anyoneDivide required Horsepower by number of injectors used...For example if you want 200bhp (200 HP / 4 INJ.) = 50 HP PER. INJ. (50HP X .50 B.S.F.C.) = 25 Lbs/Hr (25 Lbs/Hr / .80% Duty) = 31.25 Lbs/Hr Static flow rate. 31.25 Lbs/Hr X 10.50 = 328 cc/Min. Static flow rate required. KiNK43
That's good. Ill be aiming for around 260hp so 440cc probably about right. You don't want injectors running at full wack anyway I believe. 80% I think.
aerodeckcrewser
Yeah I was looking for around 250bhp . Next one to look for is which fpr to use . I guess if i go for 440cc it can be tweaked a bit more if needed in the future.
