So i expected nothing more from the mb2 on 17s... But boy was i wrong... Ended up i was overtaking 4x4 cars.
stephen English
Seems the rings have gone on my d15b.. As it still smokes a bit... Its a very healthy engine other than smoke... Do i do rings and hope i don't need new pistons and liners, or just leave it to smoke???
vtec2011
I personally would replace the rings because it's losing compression. But it will last a bit with the worn rings depending how hard you drive it
NIKH25
You won't really know if the pistons or liners need replacing until you pull it apart and see what it's like inside.
stephen English
I know that's the down side... Going to buy a compression tester and see what it says... Mechanic says everything in head looks good... And that the valve stem seals were good but coz id bought them and he had it in bits he swapped them...new oem headgasket gone on..so no more leaks... Anyone know a rough figure for new pistons and liners... Plus bottom end bearings while iv got it in bits..
