vtec2011
I was installing my Pioneer headunit into the Aerodeck and it has no power going to it? It worked in my MB3 and it worked in the Fiesta. The original headunit worked in the Aerodeck too but not the Pioneer. I plugged the Pioneer headunit back into the Fiesta again and it works fine, so the headunit is ok. I then used a electrical screwdriver to check if power is going through the live wire (red ignition wire) and the earth wire (black) from the Aerodeck's wiring loom and the headunit harness, power is going through them. I have even checked the headunit fuse and the fuse in the car itself. I shouldn't need to because the original headunit for the Aerodeck still works. The final thing I have done is hook the headunit directly to the battery, still no power... So plugged it into the Fiesta again, the headunit powers on... So now I'm stuck... Can anyone shed some light? Much appreciated, cheers
simpo
When you put it on the battery did you use red and black or red yellow and black?@vtec2011
vtec2011
Just red and black. Yellow is just a memory wire I think

Krzys
I was going to suggest the same as Simpo. Hope it works, strange one that if it doesn't!

simpo
Next prob is I would say it's your loom from head unit to main loom. Your lives must not be lining up
vtec2011
Huh? Why has it posted this thread twice? Haha Ford disease... All sorted now, just wired a couple wires together and now have power. Thanks to Simpo
vtec2011
I will have a proper look another time as the f**king headunit won't sit in the dash now. I remember on the MB3 I have to cut out a piece of plastic at the back
