knightmaric
Hi guys =]Not been on a little while.I do apologise, lots of work and other forums xDI feel like a traitor.Anyway, to the subject at hand =]Basically I want to lower the car a little bit, standard just looks a tad too high if you know what I mean?I'm looking for a nice subtle drop that won't put too much strain on the standard shocks or any other components but still look nice with the 14" sport wheels I have on it.I've also never fitted any springs in my life so i'd either get the workshop guys to do it in work or risk it myself. Also do lowering springs help improve the handling by much?I just hate how much it rolls in the corners when I push her a little hard.Badly need a strut brace for front and rear but can't warrant it just yet.Anyway.What springs would you recommend me going for?Oh and I don't want to end up spending loads if that's possible? Thanks guys =]Gaz. vti_786
I'v got the full integra type r suspension for sale here:http://www.civic5.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2141iv been told it fits the mb6, if the mb6 and mb3 have the same suspension then it should be fine for you
knightmaric
Just looking for a set of springs actually thanks vti =]I'll keep it in mind though.Any help guys?
Dave
Springs wise, Koni or Eibach work very well on the MB6. Prices are around the same for both. I would cut the budget in the springs though mate, as they have alot to do with your car staying on the road. Pi springs are cheaper IIRC, and probably up to the job. If you really want good handling though, you'll need to replace the shocks aswell. Just springs alone will only make so much difference. Hook up with megamitz, he has a nice set up on his vtis. Cant remember exactly what he used, but the ride hight is spot on.........nicely lowered but not impractical.
knightmaric
Just posted a queestion in his thread asking about his suspension setup =]Thanks for the info Dave.Well I was thinking springs for a while as a temp thing then obviously updating the shocks at a later date.I'd have to pay a garage to fit springs and shocks as I use my car every day =[Shame I can't do it myself tbh.Wish I has another little runaround I could use.Someone on civiclife mentioned an eiback pro kit?Any good? jalesi2001
My workmate, (jt21) has PI springs on his VTI-S i think, he has had them on for a few years now, and together with his 17's, it looks sweet!! Im hoping he upgrades to coilovers soon, so i can have his springs!!
knightmaric
If I could somehow spare 500 notes i'd buy a set of MeisterR Zeta-S coilovers =]But sadly unless someone wants to give me 100 each for the CD players i'm selling I have no chance xDI think i'll make 200 from the CD players if I save it all and if I can sell them all. With that i'll put it towards an eiback pro-kit =]Steal his springs He won't notice xD
