snakey135
Right, this is in my other halfs car... Its got a new £80 pioneer head unit fitted (by myself) but it keeps fading in and out of frequency if you like, when driving, like its got a bad aerial connection...Original head unit didnt have this problem and ive made sure the aerial is firmly connected to the back of the unit... It only happens when driving but still has quite a few spots where i can roll forward and signal goes and the roll back and it comes back, like its based on the vehicles actual position!?!Im well baffled by this, hopefully someone will have a couple ideas...Cheers lads
Chandler
same with me mate in the smx!! might need a radio booster? i want to try and get one for mine to see if that work, i think because its aftermarket it doesn't have a primary feature to play the radio so they dull that part down a bit i'm guessing :/
snakey135
Yeah possibly its a good shout... Krzys
I think some cars have amplified aerial's which aftermarket headunits probably won't power. What car is it Jake?

Krzys
Doubt that would have anything too fancy on it then...is it possible the aerial became unplugged when you putting the new headunit in?

Krzys
DAB is the way forward! Actually having the glass mounted aerial in the proper place helps
