Dave
Sounds likely mate. Does it do it under acceleration aswell, or just overrun?
slosei
it does do it on motorway when the vtec comes in,ok if so easyest way would be to take off the head?how about changing them with the head still on? untill i get my other car on the road i need a car and if i was to have the head off id want to get a little head work done whilst it was off lol
Dave
Yeah would make a lot of sense to get any work done while its off..port/polish etc or you going for more work? I take it theres alot of smoke, or just a little?
civicturbo79
the b18 can get ovel bores or piston ring wear so when you have head is off get your block and pistons checked .you should be able to see if you have a problems a as the bore looks glazed with burnt oil .
