Hi i have the volvo BBS wheels ( can not still post pic for some reason ) i took my car to an after market wheel place buy me called http://www.pembertontyres.co.uk/ He sorted them out for me . I know there not close for you but its what i did .As for the wheel bolts go to the scrap yard wheel blots are normally dirt cheap .Do not go for the alloy ones they strip too easy from my exp but they do look good ps; what did you pay for your wheels ?

i have two sets of ITR i run so there is no difference. One on the road " hamp " One for trackdays " mintex "
-
make sure you get the lines for a DC2 or they will not fit edit : sorry thats for GOODRIDGE not 100% sure but think HEL is the same
-
and these cars are very good at control just the gear box that lets them down on track needs a 6 speed box ( teg 1 to 5 and then our 5th ) lol sorry off topic do thouse bits 1st unless some cheap bits come up i guess but you need very good pads a mate did a set of nasty cheap pads in 2 sessions at oulton park down to the metal in an mr2 and his brakes where fading after 4 laps so good pads and tyres toyo 888s ( med ,hard ) RSR see what is on ebay
-
this is what i would do and i have done most of these on my MB6 service 1ST ( & check all bushes in the suspension ) MGzs dampers, MG arb eibach springs, skim disks ( or new disks ) good pads esp for the ring u will need some thing like DS3000 or mintex 1155 or F stuff please not fast road they will go off too quick on the ring ( add some ducting if you can to front disks ) new brake fluid ( braided lines if poss ( itr lines )) brake stopper geo set tyres ( go for 15" more feel and you can get them cheaper so can get 4 ) i run toyo take weight out for the trip well back seats then braces as in lower front H brace, rear strut and C piller any cash left then itr air box and exhaust with decat NO POINT IN POWER WITH OUT CONTROL if you do it right you will under cut and out brake other stuff ps i did hear from a lad who had the MGZS that rover and eibach devloped the std springs and dampers at the ring i do not know how true that is but they are better so who knows
-
they are jamex one not sure if linear ? also not sure where the mg spring are at the min so may have too buy rears if konis not worth it or will not fit
-
i have been offered a brand new set of koni dampers and springs never been fitted they have adjustable platforms and they have top damper adjustment for £250 ono the front has the part number 8041 1152SPD55 the rear has the part number SPD 55 they are the only markings what i would like help on is will they fit my MB6 ( the fella is selling them for a civic and crx he does not hav more info at the min ) and are they any good i have MGZS suspension with lowered springs but i really need the back end a bit higher due too weight so these would be good and the car is tracked the odd time i know some people have had the koni dampers but think they where fixed so i am a bit as too what too do
-
you have to get the integra type R brake lines thats what i have on mine the bleading is rear then front longest line from the ABS or master cylinder just keep bleeding till the bubbles stop then go to the next and when you lock the bleed screw off stamp on the pedal to check for leaks. that what i do as for Hel or goodridge there will not be much if any difference i do not think there can be much IMO
-
£25 good buy that why can i never get deals like that when i NEED some thing lol it will be very loud you may have to get another box fitted so be ready mine has 2 and thinking of fitting one where my cat was too the manifold looks like a std one with the upper heat shield off

oh yer thats true hard work i had a mate who had a had a small steering wheel and sticky tyres on a car with no PS he just got a sweat on just backing his car out of his drive it was also his every dau car and it does shorten the life of the rack too from what i heard
-
i have driven cars with out PS ( showing my age i guess ) you do get more feel the best PS i ever had was on my 405 Mi16 perfect weight and feel i have a 309gti with a PS rack on it i was told too remove the fluid if i am using it with out the PS the only reason i did is the rack leaked and was a bloody big job too change after having just fitted the Mi16 in so drained and used it that way but if i ever get it back on track then its back on ( not sure if this is true for honda's but i was told for the pug the PS racks are quicker racks )
-
sorted i was being too soft with it lol now too fix the problem but the window is up for now
-
hi can some one help me i can not get my door card off on the drivers side too get at the electric windows it has gone down and jumped of the runners i think i have removed the 8 clips and the 4 screws but its solid on the chrome door handle the screw is out but it is stuck at that point
-
true i have toyo R1R'S so sticky tyres but ABS but my 309 has slicks and no ABS the abs is an aid if there is a skid its like all the driver aids do not make a s**t driver good it just aids in hiding his faults being smooth on track it the way to be if your rough its going to end in tears some how x smooth late brake , bit of a nut job and good lines and you will make some expensive car owners wonder what they spent there money on lol they have a special bedding in process its on a sheet with them what else you done too your brakes ?
-
all i will say is do not think they are the same as road pads the ones i have " mintex F stuff " are full blown race pads so wear rate is more, disk wear rate is more , dust is harsher , cost is more but stopping is better and so is the fact no fade at all i swap pads two or three days before a track day just too bed them all in if your a late braker on track there worth it big time disk wise i just use plane disks mintex this time i have had them double line cut for the 309 just not got around to on the honda i would rather have the disks wear IMO it stops perfect and worth it if you want too shock some people
-
this is where i got my mintex from they where DC2 ones http://wbs.msauk.org/trade/ShowSite.asp ... erId=QUEST padgid pads also good but not the normal ones theses sell them plus DS3000 ( DS2500 are just a fast road pad ) Questmead sell too race and rally teams so they can get most good makes ring direct the web link is from the MSA and they will advise you what too get depending on every thing there will be loads of brake dust and its harsh so white wheels are a bad choice if you have them just warning i found out the hard way on my 309

Need some anti-freeze / coolant advice please.
wezza9 replied to VTIS Hugo's topic in Engine & Chassis
do not use neat anti freeze its not ment to be used that way and it will not cool the engine down if you want too help the cooling use water wetter that is what its ment for ( it lowers the cooling properties of the water in the rad ) but you prob will not need it mine did not get that warm when its been on track
