I've recently fitted mtec grooved disks to my MC2 along with some stoptech fast road pads. I've done well over a thousand miles on them now and i can honestly say they are a much better set up than i had before, EBC plain disks and redstuff pads. They are a little dusty but performance when cold and stupidly hot is excellent. I gave the disks a hard time bedding in the new pads and they have stayed straight and true, since then they have been well used but time will tell i suppose... Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the stoptech pads though.

So, decided to fit my new cobbled together induction kit today. I wasn't feeling the ebay special long arm/cold air induction kit Got myself a BLOX 3" filter with velocity stack, some 3" alloy tube, a 76mm to 70mm 45 degree reducer silicon hose and a self sealing take off. Fits nicely... Feels a lot more responsive now, and obviously sounds immense I am a bit worried about heat soak so i'm going to add a cold air feed to the front bumper and then i'm going to design (bodge up) an airbox out of cardboard and my friend is going to copy it out of sheet aluminum for me

Nice Always had a soft spot for them.

Noooooooooo Gutted for you mate. You going to fully forge and sleeve the next one? Not suprised it lunched itself if it was running 400+ though, I always thought 350 was the max a C4 would take before letting go....

So after passing the MOT it was time to sort out my brakes, I had to scrap the Hi-spec 4 pot idea as the calipers were too far gone Got myself some grooved Mtec discs and some stoptech fast road pads. I must say i am really impressed with the stopping ability Before - (Blank EBC discs + Redstuff pads) After - I've also ordered some HEL braided hoses, caliper paint and 4 new bleed nipples, That's next weekends job!

Loving the stealth IC and pipework! I have to see this in the flesh and pick your brains, its more or less exactly what i want to do mine in the future Oh why did i have to go buy a house..........

Tested at Halfrauds autocenter too! Was hard not to look smug after seeing a 61 plate corsa and a 59 plate Pug 208 fail before me

Boom! MOT passed, another years happy motoring! I can look at spending a bit of money/time on her now, watch this space...

Ordered it from a German company, £100 off rrp! Still fookin expensive for a sensor! I've also got myself a snow foam lance and some fancy cleaning goodies so hopefully get it looking nice and shiny!

Hey folks, not much of an update, just enjoying driving it mostly! MOT time is upon us and i finally bit the bullet and got myself a brand new ABS sensor.... Look at the shiny newness Not cheap but hopefully worth it!

EPIC! Love that chassis brace Please tell me you are going keep the sunroof mold so you can make more "plugs" for the club

How fookin big is that turbo! Looking good mate, cant wait to see/hear it running I've had to put my turbo ideas on the back burner, bought a house instead

Stolen from H-tune - Lost Motion Assembly is an advance spring device that is designed to put pre-load on the centre portion of the VTEC rocker when it is in the unlocked position (when VTEC mode is disabled). During extended operating conditions, the contaminants in the oil will more than likely cause the piston to seize resulting in the VTEC rocker rattling when VTEC is not engaging or when the vehicle is in idle.

You fitted the turbo yet dude!?
-
LoL, Didn't notice

Nah, Looks the same as before Needs a good wash and polish, its filthed!

Done the old switcheroo on the suspension, Now running the Eibach springs on the MGZS 180 shocks. What an improvement! Just need to sort the bushes out now and the handling should be tip top

So, Bidded on some wheels on ebay last weekend then forgot about it, got a message on thursday night to say i'd won! What do you guys reckon? They are 16" Rota circuit 8's, I was going to paint them black but the colour is growing on me....
-
What shocks did you upgrade to out of interest?
-
I was looking at the strong-flex kit. Less than £300 for everything delivered... not bad at all!
-
Finally decided to lower the deck Managed to get my hands on some 2nd hand Eibach lowering springs, they came with standard shocks and we didn't have a lot of time so just fit them as they were. They've lowered it quite nicely but it feels softer than it did running the MG ZS set up.... Think we're going to swap the springs over to my MG ZS shocks to see if that firms it up a bit. Noticed that half my bushes are on their last legs so gonna look at a full polybush setup in the new year. That should firm it up a bit Also on the look out for some 16" wheels so i can get my new brakes on!

They look similar to the hi-spec callipers i've just got my hands on! Dont suppose you know what size offset the brackets are? Not sure which ones i need - http://www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk/UniBrkB42.html
