  1. Cheers mate, Yeh be good to talk to some one who doesn't just think my cars a rover with a frilly skirt
  2. Solved this hopefully. today when i took my wheels for balancing, the bloke said you havn't had any knocking noises have you? I said yes. So he spotted on the inside of one of my tyres it has small flat spots all the way round rather than a circle. Im chuffed now i know its not a wheel bearing and its only a budget tyre anyway. Happy days
  3. Thanks mate. My old wheels are the standard vtis fanblades, new ones are speedline chronos. ill keep my eyes peeled for some have you tryed the poorboys stuff for swirling. That worked great on mine it was like it had been cleaned with a pan scrubber
  4. cheers i will check the tyres when i get them back from balancing. I doubt a stone will be lodged as iv taken the rottern sheilds completely off. my pads come with no shims at all. are they available to buy seperatly?
  5. just left them for balancing so fingers crossed. No i havnt had it tracked up yet that will be next on my list. Could tracking cause this?
  6. Still no joy with this i am absolutley baffled! Does anyone have any suggestions or past experience advice? as im all out. The noise itself is an intermittent (wurrrr) what makes the dash rattle but seems to get quieter when driven faster (5mph to 35mph its at its worst) its not a binding brake or cv joint 99% sure it aint wheel bearing either. When jack up and wheels turning by the engine the noise doesnt occur but when on its wheels and driving it comes back???????
  7. Hi i have just done the mb6 swap on my mb2. I could do with some advice on how to set up the system especially the rear inluding handbrake, caliper windback and genrally how to set them up as should be done. As i feel i havnt done it right for some reason. If some one could point me in the right direction that would be great Cheers chaps!
  8. Are them calipers the same as cc7? (i think) as i have a pair knocking around in the garage.
  9. Definatly one of my favorite m's. What were your old wheels called? I gotta get me some lol
  10. Yeh ill post some more pics up for ya tomorrow . Yeh they are nice wheels but i think i may be parting with them soon. Iv'e seen some more i like
  11. Keep your eyes open in the scrappy. High model rover 400's have them too. To be fair its the cheapest bit of crap i have ever seen, But hey
  12. Yeh the pads fit fine if i remember correctly, And no there is no shims between. Im going to have a proper look tomorrow. I wouldnt have thought it would be that though as it seems to be a wheel bearing type noise although im pretty sure its not.
  13. Good work so far mate! titan ftw whats the centre bor on those wheels? are you using spiggot rings? im having some issues with mine.
  14. Hmm no not me. Seems too rover 400 ish imo I guess you are going to Chrome delete the lights too? Sure am,how did ya guess? ill be using the how to off of here.
  15. Hi, If you have followed my build thread i have reciently done a big brakes swap and lowered my M. tonight me and a freind took it on its mainden voyage. There now appears to be a graiting/rumble noise (makes the dash rattle) This only seems at its worst at low speeds. im pretty sure the brakes arnt binding although the hubs themself have been stood for 8 months or so. So have any of you guys had the same issues? Or what would you suggest checking I am going to check:- Any under arch trim rubbing hub nuts too tight Im pretty sure its not a wheel bearing issue but i shall check that any way. (Thats what i first thought) The wheels havnt been balanced yet since the refurb. I wouldnt have thought it could be that could it? Ill prob post a video tommorow if i get chance. Cheers chaps
  16. Hmm no not me. Seems too rover 400 ish imo
  17. I have an mb2 with a factory option momo wheel for an eg. The previos owner of my car chopped the clock spring when they put a non srs wheel on. How have people gone about having a working horn when the clock spring has nothing to plug into? Is it possible for it still to work on the wheel/horn button or is it a must that it needs to be on a seperate switch?

    Mb6 cluster.

Hey, I have a faulty gauge cluster in my mb2 (the fuel light doesnt come on, and it can be temprimental) Has anyone ever put an mb6 cluster in mb2? If so is it plug and play or a re wire jobby? P.S im sure this has been covered before, So apologies in advance although i did look Cheers Chaps.
  19. Small update, went over to a friends tonight and got my MA rear plate recess in filler primer ready to nib off tomorrow and spray up. was thinking of gloss black but i think im gonna go body colour. Cant wait to get rid of the last of the chrome
  20. unfortunately not its OEM ha. and yeh I havnt just self tapperd it to the bumper although it did go through my mind lol. it's through one of the holes at the bottom of the radiator panel with a hefty bolt. think it might be coming off the next time I have the bumper off, I'm not so keen.
