  1. Thanks guys, The Civic is gone for MOT today fingers crossed, in the mean while in this nice weather, ive got the Accord out and running, shall daily that for a bit.
  2. Rear seats picture Got to either spray the winder or ebay some black ones, but it ok for short term.
  3. I call them, black bumper spec windows!!
  4. Well managed to work out the rear section of the VTI-s interior. Had to source some post face lift rear seat brackets, then as i dont have electric rear windows, had to drill a hole for the window winder handle to fit through. All i can say is its worth it, really has smartened up the inside of the car in my opinion. Will get some pics up shortly Frozzy, dark blue and white is always a win, however im happy with the rims currently. I battling with the idea that im driving a car with so much wheel arch gap, it kills me, im used to my Accord which certainly does not have a wheel arch gap! But i must not, as i need the suspension travel on it!
  5. Thanks Andrew Emil, they are alot better than stock. Are they better than a good set of aftermarket speakers? Well only just to be honest, but worth it for me as the were free!
  6. Yep true there is, will be on the look out for other bits and bobs!
  7. Cheers guys Paul, yep it is slow really, but you can still crack on if you drive it properly. Matt, yeah will look into that sounds like a plan Tom, you know it, im on that currently will be carbon wrapped
  8. Just joined, im not new to the Honda game, own 3 4th gen Accords in various specs, but have got a Ma8 to DD in. Its in good nick low mileage, mint paint work etc, Mods so far include: Rover Speedline alloys Pipercross air filter and OEM Accord intake pipe. Exhuast end section Red/clear rear lights EBC pads VTI-s seats and door cards Kenwood headunit Porsche boxster door speakers This is mainly a MPG meistro. It has a D14a2, which seems to be getting me consistantly 40mpg which im happy with. Will add some mods to it, as long as it still gets me 40mpg and can put massive items in the boot. This is the cart about car. Just freshly detailed it, so makes sense to add these new pics here.
  9. x2 on the rear seat latches, the VTIs seats i recently bought for my MA has this issue too.
  10. 79k on the chassis 56k on the motor '96 N Reg MA8, super fresh!

  14. Right got it. Yeah i dont care for the slow part, i have my Accords for play, this MA8 of mine is just for mpg. But it seems the benefit of a D15 is small, not big enough to warrant a a change of car, engine or gearbox. Better off keeping the money and putting it in my tank lol. From what i can tell it seems the Vtec-e gets 45mpg, thats only 3-4 better than im getting now, not really worth the effort and money. However dispite that, at 45mpg, and cheaper fuel and running costs than a diesel, youd have to get a diesel with 55mpg plus to beat that. Most of these GDDB (German Default Diesel Boxes) are only getting 45-50mpg not worth it for what is just a nice badge and nice interior.

  16. yep i saw that thread when i searched, prior to making a new topic, has good info, but goes off tangent slightly. So the main difference is the gearing, dispite the engines vtec system to aid economy. Based on that, would a D14a2 benefit from a D15 vtec-e gearbox for 60mph mpgs? or better still, whip out the 5th gear from a vtec-e and stick it in?

  18. Just wanting to get to the bottom of the MPG differences. Because the Vtec-e was designed for maximum fuel efficiency, and therefore you would assume it was better on fuel than a D14. Anyone got any mpg results for the Vtec-e?

  20. So was it rear toe? or toe in general that was out?
  21. Its more likely its the rear toe thats causing your problem, most cars a set with a little toe in, which helps stability, however with double wishbone suspension, when lowering the car, the rear cambers up, and toes in, too much toe in will be twitchy under a bump situation.
  22. Ok so the springs have same length but stiffer. Is there no way to lower the front slightly OEM spec? Honda, Rover or MG, or is it aftermarket only?
  23. The car is exactly like mine same colour same black bumper carry on. Nice to see you can upgrade the rear bumper like that. Will be doing the same. Got some those clear rears too, does make a difference. Good work, not many pre face lifts about now.
