    MeisterR coilovers

Testing the water! I'm going to be putting DD's OEM suspension back on soon so wondering if anyones interested in a set of MeisterR Zeta S (think they're S, will need to check) for the civic mb/mc. They haven't done many miles tbh as DD spent most of the time just doing meets/shows but is now in daily use hence reverting back to oem. Will get pictures once i get them off the car. Still have the original box they came in and the C spanners for adjusting them. Looking for £350 (these were over £600 new and that was at a sale/group buy price) Let me know if you're interested folks

We want to see your photos of your civics where there is a reflection of the car in the photo. Could be parked over a big puddle so car's reflected in the water, or refflected from a shop/showroom window or a mirror. Or the reflection of your civic on another car. You get the idea Only criteria is your Civic must be in the pic along with the reflection. Competition is free to enter and the prize on offer is our very last Official Civic5 mug! Lets see how arty you can get with your civic and the camera! Here's an example of my old mb6 Ruby

    Daves MA8 Civic

Ok, I'm always telling new members to get a project thread going, so thought I'd better put in mine! So, the brief.... Bought the civic from my wife when she got her aerodeck, she was the 2nd owner. It had full FHSH, and 32'000 miles on the clock! Had it for around 4 years now (she had owned it for a year) As bought, completely standard First mod was to change the rear lights, as I hated the orange indicators. So changed to later style MB lights Then I turned to the interior. Luckily for me, my wife got me a brand new, still in the box, OEM leather interior! Trouble was, it was the actual leather lit itself, from Honda, and I had to retrim all my seats by hand!! Nightmare! Well worth the effort though. Aslo fitted a cd player, JVC, then followed that with another JVC which played MP£ aswell and had a funky display, but that broke so opted for a pioneer this time. The difference in sound quality is wicked, and this one does mp3/wav etc, and has input sockets on the front Upgraded the speakers to Sony Xploads (utter rubbish they are) anyways, the interior Next, I got a rear boot spoiler for it, and at the same time, changed the rear bumper to the later style MB civic. Again, I just prefered the shape compared to MA civics, and it tied in with the rear lights I got bored with the original 14" alloys, and wanted some 15"jordan style alloys. Could'nt find a set at the time, so opted for a brand new set of wolfrace excites, with 195/50/15 tyres. These look similar so was chuffed. Also fitted a genuine Honda sunroof wind deflector, for a bit of the JDM look lol. Also fitted one to Dawns aerodeck Then it was the brakes, and although it was never gonna be fast, I wanted it's brakes to be good! Fitted Black Diamond Grooved/vented front discs, with B/D predator pads. These were ok for a bit, but the predator pads were really poor. Changed them to ferodo, and now it stops perfect! Then i thought, the centre caps really spoiled the look of the wheels, so changed them to proper Honda ones Much better Now to the front bumper, which has been buggin me. The car came with half colour coded bumpers, which meant the bottom half was just black plastic, which I hated. So, decided to fully colour code them, as I had just bought a new gun for my compressor Also replaced the grill with a new one, as the old one was perished and the chrome was perished too, and fitted MB6 H/light washers, which I think change the look of the MA big time at the front So, not got any recent pics up appart from these I took after a good clay and polish on the civic and the aerodeck Plans are.. Respray bonnet as it's a replacement one which is white! Colour code the bump strips, mirrors. Fit the VTI rear spoiler I have (with brake light) Fit the vti (standard) front lip I have Lower it Fit front window wind deflectors Fit the original MA front fogs I got for it

    MA9 airbox?

Hi, I have recently bought a 1996 N reg MA9 which I really like, has been lightly modded but I'd like it as stock as possible seeing as it is the eco model (already very impressed with the MPG for something so old, has done over 200 miles on 20quid of fuel) It has some kind of cheap aftermarket induction kit installed. Does anyone know where I can source a stock airbox for cheap? Or if anyone knows any other models that use the same airbox, can't find on internet (seems pointless having an induction kit on the economy vtec-e d15z3 engine and the MOT is soon and don't want it to fail on emissions)

    Tyres for my Rotas

Hi I just have a question about what tyre size and brand I should go for on my mb1? I have Rota Slipstreams waiting to be fitted 15x7 ET40 7J and the car is on lowering springs 30mm I believe. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks
  15. Got myself a mb4 as a parts car so I have spare body panels for my track project. Also have plans for the d16 to go in a logo. I have no need for the interior and it is in good condition so though I'd try and get some of my money back. It has the black leathers and black fabric door cards. Passenger seats are like brand new, only drivers bolster has slight wear but with a bit of leather dye will look much better. Door cards are great too, no fabric peeling away and not stained. Boot lining and carpets are all good. Perfect parcel shelf with unbroken straps. Basically all the interior of this car is very good and I don't need any of it. Only thing that is rubbish is head lining as the fabric has separated in the usual places. Looking for about £180 ono for leather seats and door cards together. But am willing to sell bits individualy. Just make me an offer on the bits you need. Pic were taken day after I got the car so it's a bit dirty. Parts people want will be removed and cleaned before you come. I can also fit parts if you want. Based in Cromer, Norfolk. Ideally collection as they are large items.

    Mb civic canards

Got a set of home made canards that I'm probably not going to put back on my civic as iv removed all my aero so was wondering if anyone wants to buy them. There made of 3mm tough aluminum and powdercoat in gloss black. Iv fitted a set of the £80 tegiwa ones to a mates car and we both agreed that mine were better, bigger and nicer fit. (I made these specifically to fit my vtis) Based on that I'll ask for £40 but am open to offers. I'll put in some new stainless bolts to fit then with aswell. Postage will be about £6. Or am near Cromer, Norfolk if you want to come round.

    Hatch or aerodeck

I'm tempted to get another civic if a tidy example comes up either a hatch or another aerodeck. If anyone has anything please get in touch. Closer to Manchester the better but I will travel for a decent car. Dan

After going for so long with out my MA8 that I loved I have finally found a replacement to continue my story with I have been searching for years for one the same colour it has taken me a while to find one, but now I finally have another MA and I’m so happy Ihave missed owning one of these special cars I traveled all the way to Kent from Birmingham to buy this car and I must say she’s a good un I’m the 3rd owner and she has service history etc.I’m going to try and make her look like my old MA8 pictures to follow soon

    Bush Replacement

Hi guys, so my Mb2 is going to be turning 20 very soon this year So one of the jobs I’m wanting to do is replacing all major bushings etc. I’ve just never done this before and have no idea what bushes are on the car, front suspension and back. Also where can I get all the right parts and how much is it going to cost approximately? Trailing arm bushes badly need doing, also sure I’ve heard the front anti roll bar knocking, rear LCA bushes could do with replacing as well. Any words of wisdom greatly appreciated!
  22. i think its time to start my project thread i brought my civic MA8 1.4is in february its my first car! I chose the 1.4 because of the low insurance group as I'm 21 (but ended up being over 3K!!) I have always loved these civics, I was looking for one for a while in a good colour, but I found this one in a rare colour (Phantom Grey) and i picked it up for a price I couldn't refuse with a bit of tax and mot the car is mechanically sound but the previous owner didn't look after the body work to well but the old civic is in good hands now and will be forever as I'm never geting rid of her, I am going to be doing a fair bit of work on her from the ground up with an engine conversion coming at some point.. I've settled for a (D16w4 it's the same as the Y8 and Y2) but the engine is now fitted, I will turbo it soon This is how the car looked when i brought it
  23. What pressies did your modern classic get for Christmas? Let's see them here! Mindy my MK1 MX5 got nice stainless steel will covers courtesy of my wife Gayle. DD my Honda Civic Aerodeck got a promise from me to renew her front caliper and get her mot, plus possibly some paintwork in the spring/summer.
