  1. Installation part 1: Had to enlarge and countersink the MA brackets to fit the larger bolts for both upper and lower rear seats Belts from 10000rpm Thanks! Nice little mod! DC2 cupholder!! Hopefully have this finished in the next couple days stay tuned...
  2. Im probably search challenged, but could someone let me know if the MB3 with the D15Z8 engine is an OBD1 or 2? If its a 2 where is the port located?
  3. Update, ok so that was the exterior sorted out, now for the interior! Swap time: half leather interior, belts, brackets, trim and rims from the MA into the the MB. Both together Rims swapped, and sneaky 3mm spacer on the rear. This makes the MB rear track match the MA, which appears wider as standard. Seats out BLOODY HONDA! why? MA MB Trim, belts and carpet And cleaned and freshened up ready for the reinstall.... Not bad for a Saturday morning workout! Installation to come......
  4. Also if it weren't for being in the above condition, id have taken it to the japshow last weekend, dont know if any you guys went
  5. Had 260mm captive hor discs, now 282mm floating roh discs, doesn't sound much but big percentage really. Plus easy to change, as I want to take this trackdays more. The rest of the car is neally upgraded enough now just some rear bushes and adjustable arms and ill be ready for the big mod....
  6. Alternator went, so you know multiple birds 1 stone.... Took the plunge A/C delete still got the rad and more piping yet. Prepped minty brackets, and new alternator. Thats better no A/C stuff and a fresh new rad and new fixings. Right whats next... ah yes that right ROH! Where i got to, had to drive the car for a bit in between whilst aquiring ROH bits, so i got a full knuckle calipers discs etc from a another cb7 4ws which is the same as the wagon setup, so its 282mm but HOR. CB3 knuckle (my originals) with new ball joints 282mm discs shields Acura CL hubs and new Accord bearings 97 Prelude Discs Done! Well apart from tightening the driveshaft nuts and denting it when its back on its wheels later.
  7. Correct, the Ma8 had vti s half leather, which will go in here, the grey interior that it originally had will go back in. Leaving this cream set surplus. The Ma8 is stripped currently inside, awaiting a free moment to do continue with that, will have to be the weekend now. plus the Rover rims and tyres, and sound setup. Good eye, nothing but the Belgium finest, Leffe Ruby!
  8. Well been on the hunt for another MPG bruiser, instead of my MA8, which doenst quite cut it. It was an ongoing thing in the background, nothing major. I was torn between a VW Bora and a MB3 1.5eco. Thankfully Ive not gone down the dirty barge route! Its Baikal Green B86P 99 Civic MB3 1.5 Eco. I really like this colour. 100k full service history MOT and Tax. Fully stock, well i lie it has a pipercross panel filter that ive just put in, as a part of my full checking over and servicing of it. I shall be poaching some goodies from the MA8 to make the best of both and then selling the MA8 as a whole complete car fully working later in the year. So after the mechanicals are sorted, onto the paintwork, as i dont roll with a scratchy car! Before Inside for now... Detailing - Cleaned before, clayed, corrected, then it rained! So i shall finish off another day with another clean polish and wax. Got 50/50?! Thats a bit better. Notice the square on the passenger front door, i left for giggles, ill sort that later, but i cant believe how noticeable it is. Thats all.....for now.
  9. Oh yeah, its gone back, thats stupid, you can go into edit history, you can see Emil edit, and then someone else, not sure if it was them that has changed it back?
  10. Do a journey with out your wallet, and put in 5 litres less than you need for that trip, that will keep you on your eco toes Ninja edit: This is more fun when you have people in the car that dont know about reserve tank fuel and aren't accustom to walking Failing that, just look at eco as "standby" awaiting something fruity to come by, then something happens which i cant condone lol.
  11. Ah brilliant thanks Emil. Yet ive just bought a MB3. Came up for a small penny, so grabbed it. Ill get pics up soon. Not bought it for power bought it for a couple more mpgs and AC. Plus its a nice colour.
  12. Could some kind sole sort out the details regarding the d15z8 wiki page, its free reign to edit for anyone. Its needs sorting out bit confusing for the first time lookers I may have purchased another Civic, hense why i was checking out the info.....
  13. -2.3 camber for the track isnt alot at all. It does depend on how much roll you have, if you have a softer setup you will roll over the tyre more, and thus need more camber. But thats a very camber dynamic way, really you should have a stiffer setup so the values dont change much under cornering. With my Accord for instance, the setup is for track, i run -2.5 all round and i consider that small enough not to change that for the road, and hence that what i daily on. I have no tyre wear issues because my toe is spot on and my bushes are good. Toe for track should be toe out at the rear, -2mm say, and -1mm at the front, for maximum steering response, but thats a bit twitchy for the road, 0 all round is best for tyres obviously. bit of toe in at the rear for stability.
  14. Renult Laguna lip fits my 4th gen comes slightly long, but easily delt with, its also very flexible can custom it. I have one if you need one, also 95 Legend coupe lip, which i currently have on mine fits very well. Your bumper is slightly more square in design but they would work if you heat gunned it around the corners, food for thought.
  15. Love this alot, 4 door is rare, and im liking the quality on this build, great fresh car
  16. The paint is 20 years old, bar the rear bumper and door mouldings, it is in great shape, but its not perfect, i still battle just like you guys with the Honda soft clear coat. Just drop this in here. j
  17. Different make, but same thing. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Calibre-Vintage-Alloys-BBS-RS-Style-Rims-With-or-Without-Tyres-Sameday-Dispatch-/170952021645?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item27cd88d68d
  18. Cheers guys! Height issues, do you mean lowness, not any different to other cars really, front mudflaps lowest point, plastic so thats fine, next is the front lip and mid box. All consumables! I went to Belgium in it the other day had 3 people and stack of luggage, rear was tucking the whole tyre, managed to board a ferry But yes being a long car with big over hangs you do have to think about it.

  20. May 2012, jeese, right well, its done 2 MOT since the last post, sailed through both, last one month or 2 ago needed some rear brake lines doing, and its had 4 new fresh Uniroyal rainsport 2 fitted, and some nice Brembo blank front discs. Still happy with it, its not going anywhere, as long as it still looks fresh. I have my Accord too, and its looking in good shape also. Might make a Other Projects thread on it, seeing as there is a few old Accords in there.
  21. old skool Accord for the win. No im not bias....
