Yeah my tuner said he's knows straight away it the torque that's killed my clutch, he said my st is really quick and the way it pulls it's definatly that qhats done it. Well she's booked in now. 6th April for an RS sachs organic clutch and a quaife lsd. Going to be a long 3 weeks lol. I'll have a look for that on Instagram. I'm probably already following it but I'll have a check

So cars giving a bit of bother. Clutch has started slipping.... again. So having to get another clutch. This time an upgraded rs type clutch. Can't remember the name of it but it's good for 500+bhp so well above what I need. And this time whilst it's out I'll be putting a quaife lsd in as I regret not putting one in there when I did rs clutch. Also I've got another drive shaft which I'll be doing on Monday I think. So she's miss behaving a lot lately. Not good. Bit hopefully be sorted soon enough...

FroSTy and a friend of mines RS... And he brought me his car the other day so I could change his torque mount for him. The bin men wondered what was going on seeing as my drive looked like a paddock from oulton park haha. And seeing as I've not had no out and about pics of just FroSTy for a while. I took some yesterday when I nipped to the shop. And that's it for this update pic wise. As for my mates green rs I was aloud to take it out for a drive. As I've been concidering changing software and going full stand alone ecu for quite a while now. I'm concidering syvecs. My mates rs is running syvecs which is why he said take it out. Straight away I fell in love with it. Launch control is epic. Flat shifting is fun. Anti lag sounds amazing. Overall the revs felt so smooth and everything just ran perfect. So I'm sold with syvecs. Time to save lol...

Ok so to start off, I got around to fitting that intercooler. And what a ball ache it was to fit. Took me 3 days in total but only because of weather etc. Anyways got bumper off and old intercooler off in no time.fitted the new intercooler fine and the hot side boost pipes. Problems came when I got round to the cold side pipe. There was a mount on the radiator for the fan and was pressing the cold side pipe right in. I didn't have anything to cut it so had to call it a day. Day 2 I went out and bought a dremel, cut away at the mount and grinder it down all smooth. Perfect job so fitted the bottom silicon elbow on the cold side, then the alloy middle pipe, then came to fitting the top silicone pipe to that and the throttle body. And I'd only gone and pushed the alloy one to far down and what a pig to pull it back up, lack of space and because it was that tight in the silicon it would hardly move. I got it rather close but ended up being knackered and hands where battered so called it a day. Day 3 full of energy, got it on within 10mins lol. By the end of the day the car was complete. Now some pics... Lights and bumper off Intercooler off Garden like a scrap yard Stage 1 vs stage 4 2.5" boost pipe vs standard Cold side pipes Coming up to end of day 1 The radiator bracket in the way that needed cutting. Day 1 over. Wife loved the new front room furniture haha. Day 2 I cut the bracket and this is as far as I got with the pipe before giving up lol. Day 3 and I finished the job... Finished at last lol.

No real rush too but next time I'm near my tuners I might pop in and ask them see if they can. Unfortunately the mot went well. Clean pass. I asked them to see if there's any noticeable wear on anything that would cause this humming and there's no signs of anything :/ making me wonder, could it be the diff at fault? Anyways some mot pics. Was funny watching them try and get her on the ramps. Good job they had plenty of wood haha. Just been to pick kids up from school and don't think I'll have time to get that intercooler on as it's already going dark

mot tomorrow. I'm hoping they can source the humming out but not be something to do with a failure lol. Anyways today I had that tyre changed, someone said it would be that what's at fault, but I had a feeling it wasn't, and nope, the humming is still there. Not often you see 2 volvos getting tyres done together... Also as autospecialist provided the wrong hose for the intercooler, today I received the replacement So thought I'd try out the big puzzle of pipes and see which goes where. Really can't wait to get this on if mot goes well and I'm in a good mood I'll get fitting it after

...As I'm still getting the humming noise I thought I would shift the tyres about, see if that was the cause. All but one where fine. Pics of said one... Tyre is rear left, so I ended up trying the rears on the fronts. Noise doesn't seem to have changed where it's coming from. New one ordered and on way. Once fitted I'll go in for 4 wheel alignment. Hopefully sorts out the bloody humming out. It's really annoying me. Anyways some good always comes with the stack of bad with FroSTy. I may have bagged a sponser from a new detailing product company. I won some of there products on a Facebook comp. I'm very impressed with it. I gave FroSTy a quick wash with the autoglym shampoo I have and thought I'd give this wax I won a try. Now I havn't polished the car but the gloss this wax gave is brilliant, and the roof especially is like glass. Not just saying as I may have bagged them as a sponser but I highly recommend them. Pics speak for themselves. Car was fully rinsed here, then I washed one side and thought I'd get this pic. I'd done the roof and spoiler, then had to go grab the kids from school and when I got home cracked on with the rest of the car and it started going dark fast, managed to finish but just as I was finishing of it started to drizzle. And got sent a little fun one on Facebook

So the day came to change the driveshaft and oh boy was it gone lol. 2 bearings of the 3 had popped off New one on and running fine now. However I'm still getting a humming noise. More on that later. During the time the car was off the road waiting for my drive shaft I thought id put the boost gauge to some use my mate gave me. Bought a pod off ebay that I've not seen anyone else use yet. Normally see the flat vent ones, but this one sits at an angle. Anyways the outer ring on the gauge was in silver and I wasn't keen on it so I painted it... Not the exact gauge but I didn't take a before pic but it was like this. Primer Paint Lacquer. All put together in the pod (which needed a bit of sanding to fit the gauge in. Now I know it's only a cheapo ebay gauge, I will be getting a better one soon. But I was given it so thought I'd just bung it in there for now. See if I like it in the vent. Does look well tbh. Here's some pics of fitting it in the car... But also ran into a problem with this. Like everything else I touch lately... I didn't have enough vac hose so nipped to motorworld, told them what I need and they provided me hose, felt a bit flimsy and they said it's fine. Fitted that hose. Gauge worked fine. Then the car started fluttering like mad, don't get me wrong the turbo flutter it was producing was epic. Then it started back firing more, I knew something was wrong. So took a look under the bonnet and oh surprise surprise the hose motorworld provided had collapsed. So I've unplugged it for now and ordered some samco vac pipe. Oh a cheeky pic of intercooler... Which again got a problem with... Can't fit it... was sent the wrong cold side boost pipe, which I've sent back but even though I sent for next day delivery they havn't received it yet. It's still with the post office depot looking at tracking. Really having no luck lately. And the bad luck goes on...

Intercooler came today. Not aloud to open it until tomorrow though However, my 8yo daughter brought me an early birthday treat tonight. A cake she made (well decorated) all by herself. Mummy did the sponge and she did the rest. She has tried to make FroSTy bless her. She's been planning this for so long lol, all her idea. She even went as far as wrighting airtec on it lol Not bad for an 8yo eh lol

Went to a meet the other day up langollen. Last min decision so didnt clean the car. Someone still took a good pic. And this one Anyways its not been a good week this week. I've replaced my passenger side wheel bearing along with top suspension mount as a bolt had snapped a while ago. But lucky enough I did change it as the thing fell in bits. And during the process the driveshaft shot to a funny angle and was solid in that position. Took a fair bit of force and it popped back into the right position. Also whilst doing the top mount, because I'd took the strut braces off I'd stupidly forgot to put the bolts back into the drivers side strut. And when all aligning up the wishbone ball joint on passenger side I had to turn the steering wheel. Stupid stupid mistake. It rotated the top mount on the drivers side and I managed to line one bolt back up to put in and when I went to put another in the stud popped out the top mount. Anyways got all the car back together and went to go the shop and the car felt like it was on a square wheel. I knew straight away that it was due to the Cv joint. Had to leave it alone as was back in work. First day off today so first things first I went out to look at the Cv joint, and yup, it's pooped http://rs1101.pbsrc.com/albums/g432/mcjacko1987/20170108_103428_zpsseb7twdm.mp4?w=160&h=160&fit=clip So whilst I got round to ordering a new one I got round to sorting the drivers top mount. All fixxed now. However.... I did notice the outer Cv boot on the drivers side has a split and is leaking grease Anyway both top mounts are now new and sorted and strut brace is finally on solid. So now it's just a matter of waiting for the driveshaft and then replace that. On the other hand, it's my 30th on the 10th and the wife has bought me thw stage 4 airtec intercooler with big boost pipe kit she prommised. So every cloud does have a silver lining. Few more pics... Up early this morning to start work on the car Jacked up Next update. Driveshaft lol

I know mate. I knew they wouldn't. Just wanted some heat out and they did do the job. But I'll just put up with that for now. Got way to fed up of people telling me my bonnet was open and also didn't like the look myself.... Few bits ordered. New wheel bearing as left hand side front one is on its way out. Also few weeks back I was tightening my standard strut brace. Over tightened one bolt and head snapped off it leaving the thread stuck in the top mount. Well when I came to fitting the summit strut brace last week I tried to drill that thread out first without any success. Luckily enough it's the same side as the bearing. So only have to work on the one side. Ordered some blue led strip. Plan is to use 2 on the intercooler and the other 2 in the bay somewhere. Either bonnet or behind the strut brace. Not sure yet. Depends how bright they are. May need all 4 for the cooler lol. Which will be ordered next week
