  1. Hiya I have a very annoying problem with my vtis at moment well it's been happening for a while now Basically when the car is cold it holds back majorly when driving pretty much at any revs I'm any gear, holds back and slows down just backfires constantly then if I put foot down a bit more it clears but then will do it again just a few seconds later, when engine is hot it doesn't happen and it's always at like half throttle, still does it even with new engine although I did use my old dizzy? Could it be that? Leads? Ecu? I've no idea it's very very frustrating It's like it's over fuelling does it at idle too when cars not hot, any ideas please? Would be much appreciated thanks very much!
  2. Cheers for comments makes it all worthwhile
  3. No the 18's don't rub at all tbh that's why I've never changed them, they are up for sale at moment though, just struggling getting an ecu sorted for car at the moment, we will get there eventually!
  4. Hiya anyone know where I can get a harness to fit my jdm p72 ecu which is obd2a I'm really struggling, only found one in uk and it was 110 quid!!would be cheaper to get a chipped and socketed p28, your help would be much appreciated as I'm tearing my hair out and getting nowhere Thanks
  5. Ordered a harness for the ecu obd2a - obd1 but its the wrong one even though the guy said it would fit, so frustrating! He said to find out what harness I need yet they specialise in Hondas!! I've no idea I presume it's a obd1 - obd2a instead as the plugs on the harness didn't fit in the ecu, starting to really irritate me there's always something with these cars always spending money on it, can anyone shed some light please as to what harness I need? Many thanks
  6. Took mine apart it's the one that can't be socketed..... Gutted! Is it worth even putting it in? Just think the p9k is crap and wrong map for the jdm b18c I put in, it has no torque at all it's like b16 at moment, the p72 as standard is more aggressive isn't it? Cheers
  7. Thanks for the comments everyone, not sure the difference between gsr and sir engine tbh, it's definitely an sir engine, I have all the paperwork for the integra and import papers and stuff, think they both on dual runner intake, it's just same engine as b18c4 really, just has 179 bhp instead and better ecu and couple of other things, that's the most recent picture I painted all the engine and gearbox and everything before we put it in a few weeks ago
  8. Oh right il get some pictures up tonight when I get home, so I'm going to order a harness today do I need to bridge anything inside the ecu for vtec to work? If so how do I do it? Hopefully will be worth it when it's all fitted supposed to be a better map I've heard Cheers for help

  14. Thanks for replys Il try and put a picture up, that's a bit annoying, will it still work with a harness? Was sure it was off an early teg as well. Thanks all
  15. I have just put a b18c engine out of an integra sir into my vtis and got the jdm p72 ecu too, I was under the impression it went straight in but the plugs are different? Thought they were both obd1 style plugs? Also how do I bridge the pins for vtec to work or does that not matter since its no longer b18c4?? It's baffling me a bit any help would be appreciated thanks james
