followed your link for the energy suspension bushes - I'm looking at fitting the exact same kit. Do we need the del sol kit then? I've been told elsewhere I need the 96-00 civic si kit! :?

I've been told elsewhere I need the 96-00 civic si kit! :?
that's EK-models, they are different, ours are DC2/EG parts (I've crawled under some EGs to check that, but not under EKs to be 100% sure of that).

Just to show you one example, the LCA (lower control arms) aren't the same length:

short ones DC2/EG

long ones EK

I plan to mount the bushes at least on the rear this August while I'm on holiday.

where did you get that kph clock man look nice
from a local ad here in france, a delsol owner had bought scrapped mb6 parts to swap over the B18C4 into his car - he didn't need the cluster for his swap so it became mine ;)

Some news since last posting...

- During my time belt change...

distrig.jpg

I should replace that damper pulley as it is starting to crack but I'm not too confident in those solid aluminium ones sold on ebay as those don't include harmonic damping...

pulleydamper.jpg

- Did those bushes of the rear with that Civic EG kit of Energy Suspension, found out I'd better worked with those of Integra GSR...

My full report here: http://www.civic5.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=3933

The rear is stiffer, but with the solid rear trailing arm now, the car tends to slide the 4 wheels in full attack mode, no real understeer anymore, so you'd better be careful

I can now understand why some prefer to install OEM bushes there as these add natural camber in turns as they are more flexible due to their conception... but maybe this is simply due to the fact my front shocks are just dead as hell, still awaiting those to fit my -30mm Eibach springs...

I still have to do the front bushes on my next holidays btw...

- Whilst playing with some leds, installed a vtec light...

with those one (also did those above the instrument cluster and ventilation control):

Continued with that:

Rear boot dome light (31mm length, needs a bit of twitching as the terminals are a bit thicker than original):

Front dome light (39mm length):

front sidelights W5W-type:

- Got a free honda EG boss and with some adaptation (brass strip for the horn) fitted an old steering wheel my dad used to own in his Alfa 75 days... much better feel that that OEM wheel 8-)

Also invested in a decent radio-unit, so I can enjoy my downloaded trance with more ease...

- And due to work I have now moved around Geneva, here a pic under finals RWY 23...

And with a local MB6 (they don't have sunroofs here mostly)

Long time no updates... so since then...

- Had to replace my distributor with an Ebay one (110eu delivred) as car stumbled in low revs while warm, apart from that it proved reliable despite I sometimes beat the hell out of it in the local mountain passes with some other crazy japlovers here around Geneva (cross fingers!) - that Torsen jobbie even surprised a EK4  ...

boege.jpg

- Fitted wintertires on some old 200SX rims I had lying around, same PCD proved practical here :P

The Honda proved to be practical as cheap taxi by my work-colleagues who did not anticipate and got stuck

And in wintery nights (fresh snow yeah) that makes some slip and slide fun with the fellow car lovers here...

During these Christmas holidays I got a bit active again so:

- Oil change, put that Valvoline Maxlife ATF (yes you read Atf not mtf!) in that gearbox and it's all good!

- MeisterR coilovers fitted, still need to adjust some more height (back can be a bit higher) and add some more preload on the springs (could do with less roll but well comfy, that was a good surprise compared to my S13 in 6/5 while this is 8/6 here!) - despite those niggles it handles oh so better but there is certainly way for improvement!!

frcoilover.jpg

- Fitted a secondhand boot, door and rear bumper cheaply as a local was breaking a similar MC2 for you guess what, swap all the interesting pieces in an EG5...

- Repaired my heater control module with the Rezpax kit on Ebay, mine got bust 4 weeks after owning the car...

heaterresistor.jpg

- Fitted all Energy Susp. bushes on the front right, didn't have time for the LH-side, this remains a very time consuming job with everyday tools

How it looks now, on a "delivery mission" for some MBsquad forum members here in France:

Planning a very small circuit-session end of January to test the waters with the coilies
