yeah got a compressor, but at first i did it with rattle cans not the best result in the world but they looked good but having a compressor does make the difference in finish and of course good prep work is essential.if i had the coin i would have mine powder coated every time. :D

Liking the car mate :D

You got it all going, exatly what I want, a black MB6! I think those alloys will make a huge difference, I think 2 sets of alloys were available on the VTI-s only weren't they. I prefer the VTI-S ones you got, those are my favourite.

I think if you get hold of a rear lip n side skirts will add that bit extra.

Nice example, looks good.

Cheers mbfan!! ;)

Yeah, there were two different alloys you could get, i think the ones i dont have are the more popular, but i prefer the ones i have got!! And yeah, if i can get my hands on a VTI-S body kit I will be a very happy man!! Hopefully I will find one one day!!!

Another very small update, i got my rear drop links now, so when they are fitted it should get rid of the knocking from the rear I have now, and I have fitted the carbon style dash trim parts, pics coming soon!! 8-)

Right, got a bit of an update! Since last posting I have done a few things to the M, I havent got many pics but will update with some soon!

Firstly, i have fitted the 'carbon effect' dash trim and gearstick surround, looks a bit better than the 'wood effect' i had before, and now I have all my air vents working!!

Then I decided to fit my VTI-S alloys, even though I havent had them re-conditioned, they still look ok anyway!! Realised when I fitted them that I had a puncture so I had a new Falken tyre fitted and the tracking done. Now the steering wheel aint straight so its going back when I get the time!!

I also had a rusty brake disk on the O/S/R, and it squeeked when i went along!! So, thinking i needed a new caliper, i thought I had nothing to loose by stripping and cleaning the rear brakes. Turns out the caliper was ok, but the sliders were seized solid in the carrier, so after loads of WD-40, grease and sweating and swearing from me, i now have fully working rear brakes!! Yay!! :D And the disk is going shiney again!! (dont follow my example on this, replace rusty brakes if you have them guys!!!! )

Also, i was getting loads of rattling and knocking from the rear when driving, turned out to be the Anti-roll bar drop links so I have replaced them to, its made it much quieter now, but now I can hear the fronts starting to go....another thing to go on my list!

I have noticed that over the past few weeks I was loosing coolant, i was pretty gutted as I couldnt find an obvious leak, but when it was on the ramp I saw he bottom hose was wet at the bottom of the rad. I went to move the hose clip and it had rusted so much it came apart in my hands!! As I hadnt changed the coolant when I serviced it, on went a new hose clip today, and fully changed the coolant!! Sorted! I also cut out some barryboy amp wiring that was in my passenger footwell and boot, and as I was at work today, thought I would check and adjust my headlamp aim as its rubbish!! Found the O/S bulb fitted completely wrong, so re-fitted and set the aim fine, then I went to the N/S. Then I wished I hadnt!!

If you look at the earlier pics, you can see its the side with the damage. Turns out the bulb wasnt even in its holder, and was just sort of resting in the headlight, and after a few attempts at fixing it, i gave up and decided to fit my new one. I was gonna wait till i had the new wing and bumper fitted, but i need working headlights more so i started taking it apart!

As i took the bumper off and started digging deeper, i could see the extent of the damage that it sustained when it had its accident. Luckily, its only cosmetic, none of the chassis has been bent, but its made me want to sort it out even more, especially as it was a pain in the bum fitting the headlight as I had to straighten a few bits and bobs!!! Anyway, headlight is now in, and the lights are pointing in the right direction, so thats good!!!:lol:
