Meant to update this! Got the ABS fault sorted, was right rear abs sensor. Was supposed to be a 10 min job to remove/fit, only one 10mm bolt! Said bolt was rounded to he'll, so took time to get that out. Then the sensor itself wouldn't come out! In the end had to remove brake caliper, caliper carrier and brake disk so I could hammer the sensor out! What a faff. New one fitted, all back together and abs light now gone!😀

Also had her in for her MOT which she failed. Didn't fail on much tbh, handbrake efficiency, broken o/s/f coil spring. Couple of advisories for o/s/f ARB drop link and a tyre slightly perishing. Got everything done except the tyre as I'm gonna replace all 4 soon anyways so she now has a clean bill of health. 

Still driving nice, and love her to bits!

Nice one. Sounds like the nightmare I had swapping the wheels on the stepwagon before going away.. Was supposed to be quick, but resulted in a snapped wheel stud, and replacing what could well have been the original brake pads given how they almost fell to bits.. Took bloody hours.

Yeah, all sorted and driving amazing. Had been using that E10 unleaded fuel for a bit, but yesterday filled her up with E5 Esso super and the difference is unreal. She normally averages around 44 to 47mpg on that. On the E5, she's showing 53mpg (know that will probs go down a bit)! What got me was acceleration. On our way back from town 50/60mph limit, we got stuck behind a numpty who was slowing down to 26mph for 45mph bends! Gayle was in Foxy, her wee 70 late Micra, and pulled out and passed him on a bit where there's a very short straight. Knowing I'd need to be quick I dropped her into 2nd as normal and went for it. She accelerated so quick I hit the limiter in 2nd and had to quickly change up to 3rd! She doesn't usually accelerate that quick! E5 deffo makes a difference! 

So happy, got a car I always look back at when walking away, which I love the look of, it's quick and cheap as chips to run! All is good in Lexy's world! Bloody love this car!

That E10 is absolute dog turd.. Only e5 goes in ours, especially after it ruined the injectors in Karen's accord. 

It's like a double bonus of super unleaded in top of not being E10 👌

Haha, totally agree! For the extra cost per tank, the mpg and performance more than make up for it! 🤓

Sooo, had a bit of an accident with Lexy ☹️ On way to work at silly o clock in the morning so still dark. Pulled out to pass a van, got almost online with his front wheel and heard an almighty bang! Then followed horrible grinding sound! Thought the engine or gearbox had went, the bang was so loud. Pulled in and went to front of the car and front bumper on passenger side is smashed with a big bit missing, and the plastic wheel arch trim (the colour coded bit that's part of the body kit, not the inner arch) is off and dragging along the ground, held on by one clip at the bottom! 😲 No idea what I hit, but it was solid! Thinking that the van either threw up a rock or maybe a large tree branch. Managed to clip the arch back on best I could and drove home. Had a loud rattle from underneath so was worried what else had been damaged.Checked and whatever I hit also dislodged the exhaust heatshield and also snapped the exhaust hanger clean off the exhaust! Gutted!

I managed to source a replacement bumper in the same red down in Durham for £100, and the wheel arch, again in red, via Ebay. Wheelarch was the hardest bit to source and cost almost as much as the bumper! She still drives fine, just looks a bit of a mess, but will get her sorted soon. Will post up a couple of pics when I get a chance. Alwayshappens near Christmas!
