DAVEMB2
thats shocking ad, eh! wouldnt be so bad, but the remote system on the m's is crap! You gotta be virtually sitting inside the bloomin car for it to work Not that ruby as that problem........psh the button on the fob, she flashes her eyes...........from 100 paces! scottravenhill
ok so i have about 5 fobs with my car. new battery doesnt fix. is it just a case of gettng honda to reprogram them?
DAVEMB2
The price of thr remote's went up early this year, they are now nearly £200 + VAT. The remotes ARE NOT RE-PROGRAMMABLE, they are ordered to your car using a code that is on the back of your receiver. (black dome by your interior light) Any you buy on ebay will NOT work!! as adam has said with the fobs have you got the receiver with them
scottravenhill
i have a receiver (black dome) so does that mean its possible?
DAVEMB2
you need the receiver (black dome) from the same car as the keyfob so it will work they have to match
scottravenhill
i dont see why they wouldnt match, they are the original remotes i guess
Dexter
I'm having the same problem as everybody else... however, my remote stopped working when i changed the batteries. Before that, it was working occasionally, so i thought maybe the battery is almost dead. But it's hard for me to believe that the remote broke during the battery change but it's the only solution i can figure out. The small led that's sticking out, isn't connected to anything. The soldering broke, perhaps? Can this be fixed? I don't know anything about electronics... And i don't want to buy a new remote!
Dave
hi mate. do you mean the led on the left hand side of your photo. that sticks through the front? thats the infrared sender. if thats not got contact, it deff wont work if its the wee led that lights up when you press the buttons that isnt contacting the circuit board, it may be breaking the circuit? Easy enough to solder though

And no matter which way i connect it, won't work. So i think the next step will be to replace the sender... hope i can find one from the local electronics component store.
