Window problem? Now sorted!

Ok, first thing to check is the following..

1. Is everything else working? Like clock, radio, cigar lighter etc? There's a main accessory fuse in the engine bay fuse box, although not sure if it would affect the windows.

2. With drivers door panel removed, check all wiring for the switch/motor. Use a volt meter if you can to see if the power is actually getting past the switch.

3.Next step will be a bugger. You need to locate the relay for the windows. It should give an indication in the manual where it is.

4. Make sure the fuse you're checking in the fusebox is actually the fuse for the windows. If you're not sure exactly which one it is, I'll see if I can take a photo of the fusebox, with the fuse you need highlighted in the pic.

Hope this helps ;)

thanks for the reply,

1. yes everything else is working fine

2. will do this

3/4. i got a second opinion from M.S.K autos who are big in hondas, he checked the fuses aswell, and the engine bay relay (lack of) and said they were ok. he did mention something around the lines of "you should be able to here the window relay switching when near the fuses but cant?" also all 4 windows have individual fuses so checked them too.

it you turn the key but dont start it push down on the drivers window and you should here it click. even though its click still doesnt mean its working as thats wat happen to me. you can take it apart and will prob find something wrong on the chip board i just put a new bit of solder on it job done
