Nairnster
Got a couple of questions about engine bay stuff.when you painted your radiator bracket etc, how did you do this? If you take it off, is the radiator still held by something? Also, I am wanting some new coloured earth leads, do you know where to get them from as I noticed yours in your pics. shebabby
the radiator will hold it self in place also will the air con radiator becous of the pipe work as for the earth leads in my thred i made them out of audio power cable that supplys 12v to a car amplifier .i did see a few earth upgrade kits on ebay in a couple ov different colors but i like to make my own mods if poss
Nairnster
Ah thats cool, I have some plans for a bit of engine bay sprucing next month, and thats the sort of info I needed. Muchas thank you!
shebabby
if your going to bling the bay up try to use a color that covers just about everything ie: coolant hoses /vacume pipes /and so on .my mate has done his green under the bonnet but found it hard to find green hoses ect .unless you wasnt going to follow a color scheam
Nairnster
Yeah, I am looking at something along the lines of:Gloss black rocker cover with red washers and black dome nutsGloss red spark plug coverRed magnecor leads at some pointRed and black strut brace with red nuts (ooer)Just paint the stays black to freshen them upWas looking at the coloured silicone tape as an option for reducing bay temps, without having to actually replace the pipework etcVarious red/black dress up bolts and washers.Should hopefully end up looking pretty sweet. shebabby
cool mate you will realise it wont be just that when i did mine i only wanted to clean the engine up a bit and by the time i had finnished everything had paint on it
shebabby
i was looking at that tape but it would end up costing nealy as much as it would for silicone pipes the tape would be good for the wireing loom tho
