hi dom,

that's my old mc2 mate... good for you to have bought it, it's sweet and mechanically sound! I've it regularly serviced and all odds been fixed under my 1.5 years ownership.

And you probably notice before me it's only an old chap with it for 12 years from new.

although it's not perfect in cosmetics side, you will be happy with it~

take care of the car and enjoy this forum, people here are brilliant!

Looking good mate, there's a couple of people on here who've fitted the raceland or similar kits with varying opinions, check out this thread :D :

cheers Nik, i have read pretty much all the links on here to do with them, and as you say opinions do vary! but i am confident that enough people are happy with them and how they ride to be more than happy with them on my `deck......if i can find any!!

right, after reading stoatman`s thread it got me inspired! i had already spent most of sunday daytime washing, claying and 3 step polishing the car, but never got round to finishing it.
so while i was quiet at work i started on the roof but.....as said above....because of stoatman.....i removed the roof rails, roof strips and cleaned all the gutters, roof rails and strips! looks alot now some, ill let the pics do the talking:

roof rails off

strips off, gutter covered in s**te...especially by the windscreen

all clean

even cleaned the little clips that hold the strips on

and the other side

then i couldnt stop...damn you stoatman!
off with the skirts....more mud!!!!

and all clean. i know how important this area is to keep clean....seem far to many rusty rear arches stem from this area

other side not as bad

and the car after my 2 day clean (finally after owning it for 2 months nearly!!)

sorry for the crappy phone pics. will get better ones on a nice day.

i am planning some suspension mods soon, so will take the inner arch liners off to clean behind them, and possibly the front wings off because there is still a bit of mud up there.

cheers for looking, all comments welcome

Dom
