Fuel result since the service is in-

£20 BP standard unleaded = 156 miles (heater, sat nav and stereo on, a few cold starts and 60 ish mile round trip to get my wheels). Not too bad I thought, haven't really worked it out yet against the stock mpg figures.

Reckon I can try for 500+ on a full tank though after sorting the gearbox oil and a bit more weight saving.

More stuff you won't like-

Rover 'lites anyone? Don't worry the anti theft centre caps have been carboned.

And I would just like to point out it is winter- and the roads round here are rubbish.

And £55.

* £20 round these parts buys you about 14.81 litres.

Think that's about 48mpg so not bad at all!

Looks like bits and pieces are coming together nicely! Keep it up! :)

Rovnda!

They don't look to bad you know!

Thanks, definitaly one of their better efforts. I like the look of the BMW Minilites but 17's are a serious no go around here! I'll put up a pic with the carbon centres and correct size tyes on- much improved. Have gone off the idea of white wheels, was thinking about some Takata green inovits but the wife said I couldn't spend that much on 'making it look like a christmas car' she might be right. In the summer I might get some sprints from Tegiwa or have these refurbed in Rays bronze.

Mpg wise Hondas stock figures for this car are- 32.8 urban 50.4 extra urban and 42.8 combined. If I can get near its perfomance when new I'll be well pleased. I don't drive in town with it much at all (use the punto for that- free parking permit :D ) so I think 47 is not bad; though I need to average that out over a few runs; unfortunatly my new 195 tyres will have a bit of an effect. The flickery fuel light also doesn't help but I note the mileage when it first comes on solidly so I think I'm within a couple of miles at worst.

Quality build mate love the money-saving-and-proud-attitude!

MG remind me of another British company that had a mish mash of parts on their motorcycles - CCM. I had one of their 404s' which had a suzuki engine, ktm suspension, and honda plastics!

I take it a towbar mounted rack is out of the question due to the cost? Although in the long run you will save money due to the aerodynamics. Either way, we do not have much choice in the uk for bike racks - it seems to be a thule monopoly.
