buy a car with a turbo already is my advice! you may buy a kit for 1500-2000 but you will end up spending spending spending more to get it right until your fed up and skint.

I dont know about yours, but my mb6 is starting to get a little rusty now, so unless money isnt an object for you it seems like wasted money...

sorry not trying to be too negative, we'd all love an MB6 turbo for sure, but weighing it all up I just cant see how its worth it. you only have to look at what cars are on the market at the moment which have mb6 turbo perfomance to see that.....

Got to agree with this, I love my mb6 to bits, but even my mint low mile example is a cheap motor. doubling what I paid for to go turbo, then having to upgrade other parts so it handles the power competantly and you're swiftly into the money for a fundamentally better car.

I'm not knocking people who put the money and effort into building something special, i wish i had their ability to do so, but you have to be totally committed to see it through and not end up as a half-finished project on ebay.

Still, best of luck to you if you do it, I'll follow your project thread religiously if you do!

im swinging both ways with this thread :?

you will still have vtec as it runs on oil preasure but the turbo will overpower it ?

if i was to turbo my deck i would go and pay for someone else to have the headache that way if owt goes bang its not my fault

but as my decks already greedy with fuel i cant see me going down that lane :D

plus how funny it would be as a N/A engine pulls away from a boosted one especialy when the boosted one keeps lighting the tyres up ;)

but yes i would love to turbo my vtec

I'm still thinking that anything over 200bhp through the front wheels is a waste.

Better to get a Turbo car in the first place and as said else where in this thread bang for buck you don't get better than a Nissan 200sx s14/A and they are so much more tunable than a NA! Easy to get past 400bhp too with bolt on mods.

If I wanted a Turbo estate I would have gone for a Mitsi VR4 or a Nissan Stagea in the first place and they are both 4WD too. ;)

thats true ;)

but if you had a nissan or mitsi you wouldnt be a member on civic5 :lol:

its about been different just like a tattoo or a piercing ;)
