WilkesyMB6
common on most jap cars the shafts snapping, i remember when i was younger - i took out my friends crx to do a wheel spin, rev'd it let go of the clutch and a bag of nails sound appeared with the car not moving!Sometimes with these jap motors, they have a balancer ring on the shaft, water collects due to it and rusts it out which in the end causes to to crack and snap. They do last ages though! i mean most mb's are around 12 - 14 years old and still on original shafts!Thats what happened to my shaft a few years ago. mark11
Shaft come today from J&R, i know a few of you said youve had them, did yours come with the rubber balancer in the middle of it or are they already balanced up, this didnt come with one, everything else fits
S4DAM
i bought mine from ebay both sides. neither of them came with rubber balances. i remember being told the rubber balances were the reasons for them snapping. water would get into the rubber causing the metal to rust. common fault? anyway these are solid £50 a pop
beastgtir
drive it at 30 mph and 70mph, if it drives ok. the shaft is already balanced.doesn't need the balancer.
