philgor
hey, james, is your's on rear disk's ?, if it is have you been told about the handbrake on the rear caliper's?if you have, don't bother reading this, if you haven't, well read on.....mx5 rear caliper's are not like any handbrake caliper's i have ever come across before, down to the adjustment of the hand brake....you do not adjust the handbrake at the 1, the handbrake lever, 2 handbrake lever on the caliper, 3 the cables'....right i'm assuming the rear of the vehicle is jacked up with the wheels' off. at the back of the caliper, there is a 12/14mm headed bolt that doesn't look like it's doing much, it's sort off in a direct line with the piston in the caliper. remove that bolt and then use a 4mm allen key to adjust the allen key till it nip up. now slacken it so the disk turn's freely, put the bolt back in, check the foot brake and hand brake, drop the wheel's back on and off the jack's and job done... james
Yep thats right big difference now in the foot brake and hand brake very happy with the put come, this car STOPS the brake are not big but the stoping power is way better than my old mb6 i was going to clean the throttle body but it turns out not any old carb cleaner can be usedthere is a coating on the butter fly that if removed will effect the idle so it has to be throttle body cleaner as its less aggressive looking forward to this job as it it dirty black in there

james
In the Post CameE20 + delivery for the lot And i fit the new momo suede drift steering wheel aswell taday I picked it up yesterday at japfest (ireland) and got a boss aswellProblem is the boss was for the none airbag models so the down side is i have to turn off the indicators manually and i still have to find out how to connect up the horn button so this wheel is good not everything i wanted as i would have prefered a smaller diameter its either 350/330 mm i dont know i think a 300 mm in a dish would feel best, i like thing heavy i feel more envolved that way It looks the dogs balls and i might sell it in the future and get what i totally want, the feel is good chunky but minimal cushioning its gripy with the suede but the horn and fixing ring feel as cheap as the plastic cheap stuff is wraped in to do list:[*:2sweb2ry]spark plug leads[*:2sweb2ry]spark plugs[*:2sweb2ry]fuel filter[*:2sweb2ry]Gear shift upper & lower boots[*:2sweb2ry]clean throttle body[*:2sweb2ry]connect horn button[*:2sweb2ry]sort out more lumbar support [*:2sweb2ry]get exhaust leak fixed[*:2sweb2ry]front brake pads (ebc green stuff)[*:2sweb2ry]polish & wax

Krzys
Sounds like you've been keeping busy! Quite like that steering wheel, shame about the boss though, could you not just get the correct boss for the minute?
