More maintenance work today

First off was the throttle body/intake mainfold, my revs ware dipping every so often so it needed a good clean :)

DSC00275_zpsbd4bee50.jpg

I used egr as i could'nt find throttle body cleaner only carb cleaner was available and that has a chemical called acetone which on the mx5's throttle body would strip the none stick coating off which would lead to poor idling

Yep it gets quite gunky in there all right, i had intermittent idle problems so taking off the throttle body and cleaning it was a must =]

some time i am going to take off the intake manifold and get a brush in there and do a proper job (like cleaning a chimney)

Thanks nick, she will be close but no cupa just yet =]
