Mr Brown Posted August 6, 2012 Share Posted August 6, 2012 I guess i only have my self to blame with my shall we say Exuberant driving style.Engine is fine untill i engage gears then............ LOL Lower gears can hear grumbling and rattling third up a constant whine and when i change down sounds like a Austin Metro (Nasty Whine)Does this point towards one thing in particular because i can only hazzard a guess at either gearbox or diffA friend suggested clutch but had previously dismissed that because the noise (please tell me im wrong and a thrust bearing can sound like that) it will be cheapest option i guess !!!!
