well here we are, ive had the car for about 4 years and progress has been slow but steady.

wasnt in the best condition when i bought it due to the last owner letting things go and not reparing or servicing it at all and mot history was shocking.

started the mods with a piperx cone filter and a longlife 2.5 inch back box and left it at that for a few months before i meshed the grill and sprayed the mesh and surround black.

then i started on the audio side. changed the tape deck for a cd head unit and then turned my attention to the speakers. the standard speakers werent bad but just were not loud enough so i installed a set of 6x9s and ran them off the head unit untill i was offered a 150 watt amp 450 watt amp and a pair of jbl gt5 12 inch sub in a twin enclosure box for £50, too good to pass up and my brother inlaw wanted rid.

as i didnt want to run 2 subs from 1 amp and the other wasnt powerfull enough i bought another amp and made an mdf shelf to house the 6x9s and to mount the amps. i soon found out the battery wasnt man enough to run it so disconnected an amp and sub for a few months.

was offered a set of 14 inch alloys by a mate for a good price so out went the steelies and on went the new wheels and got painted black. found a black vti lip on hondas of devon for £20 so on that went with a vti spoiler resprayed in silver and with the 3rd brake light blanked off, a few months after fitting i saw a vti-s with the mgzs 180 spoiler and thought i gotta have one, as luck would have it a driver pulled out of a junction and dented driver and passanger doors and bent the door piller so while looking for replacements i found a zs in silver. not an identicle silver but not far off so bought the spoiler at the same time

I decided to get rid of the walnut trim and sprayed the dash trim gaiter surround glove box and ashtrays in silver.

while trawling through this forum i found a full set of half leather mb6 seats in the freebies section in birmingham. road trip of epicness with the brother in law and even found a nice pub on the way out of brum. In that went and it looked and felt much better, i started to look for an mb6 centre console and after a few months i was offered one at a good price so went on a road trip to paignton to pick it up and admire a nice vti-s then back to plymouth to swap my old spoiler for a new set of 6x9s.

work on the car dried up for a while untill i installed a power cap in the boot and rewired the disconnected sub and amp and tidied a few things up and gave the rocker cover a lick of paint in red vht.

a few weeks ago i decided to put a flip out dvd player in place of the old cd player and that is the story of the car up to now but by no means the end pics will follow at a later date
