ClarkeyVTI
I brought some alloys last year and only just unboxed them as ive been saving for the tyres ( things kept popping up and stealing my tyre fund). I got them from my uncles boss (who has since solld all his wheels to a sister company) and ive found 1 to be an 18 and the other 3 are 17. I am so p**sed off waiting so long to get them on and now I cant. Am I entitled to get him to sort it or am I stuck with them and 4 useless tyres? Any help is greatly appreciated as im going to see him tomorrow and want to be prepared. Thanks

KiNK43
oh dear thats a stinker isnt it. sorry i cant offer too much advise. but i would like to think that you should be entitled to some sort of refund/replacement within a 12 month period from date of purchase. assuming you have proof of purchase and they were baught from a legit company. might be worth you looking up your local trading standards agency and giving them a ring in the morning. they will be able to tell you where you stand.hope you get it sorted!!! spudley1988
Dont see why they wouldnt swap it over especially as they have never been on the car.
NIKH25
They should swap it over out of goodwill, unfortunately I don't think they have to legally, usually the time for this is 28 days and they can say that you have had them long enough and should have spotted this. ClarkeyVTI
Trading standards said I have a good case regardless of time. Contacted the main supplier (rochford tyres) and they dont have and wont have any more of that type. The buisness I brought them from sold all his stock to them. I will wait till monday as I was busy today and try and get my money back if I can. if not then il have to weigh them in I suppose thanks for your help guys

ClarkeyVTI
Just an update. spoke to the man yesterday and he's contacted his friend who's the director of team dynamics to sort me out a new set of wheels at low price. he's told me to sell or throw the other set as there of no use to him so I'll see if a local wheel merchant will take them off my hands for a bit of cash and wait to see what he comes back with for me. at least he's done something about it I'm a lot happier now as long as my new wheels look ok too haha. Krzys
Getting all four the same size would be a good start Glad you've managed to sort it, guess there's a lesson to be learnt, always, always check your purchase upon delivery!
