Dexter
The upper adjustment ring (see pic) on one of my H&R coils is completely stuck. The lower one turns as normal but the upper one not even 1mm. I've sprayed a can of CRC on it, tapped (and banged) the spanner with a wrench but nothing helps. Any tips what to try? Wouldn't want to take it to a shop yet. Last time i adjusted height was about 3 months ago and had no problems. Properly cleaned the threads before. Not my actual shock, just a reference photo off the internet. simpo
Had the same problem on a golf last month was smashing the f00k out of it and couldn't get it to budge
Dexter
is it off the car? If so a set of plumbers stilsons on it to give you a lever. (maybe) Yeah this worked. Tried all sorts of secret liquid recipes but to no effect... it was proper stuck. From now on each time i adjust the height gonna give it a mega clean and proper layer of copper paste to keep it open.
KiNK43
I has same problem was a nightmare. Ended damaging it too. Soo had no choice but to carefully cut it off. Glad you got it sorted easily

Glad you got it sorted easily Sorry to hear that. Was really a nightmare for me too. And now not to get anybody else reading this topic into trouble, unlike i said before, DON'T use copper paste on the threads. It'll make the situation even worse if left unadjusted/cleaned for a long time. Instead go with CRC white lithium grease or similar. Just learnt this from a Finnish honda forum.
