jamestopdog
I would have a diesel jap but none really light my fire. Dont really care what nationality my daily is aslong as it get 45mpg, is reliable and fairly comfortable My bit of weekend fun is my mb, and eventually plan to make it faster For £2000-£2250, a 04 130bhp seat fits the bill, economical, loads of torque and fairly modernNo reason why you cant like jap and vag, but I would always say Japanese build a better more reliable, cheaper to run car than the german equivalent. I like any car, italian, german , japanese, french etc as long as it has a bit of character

philgor
diesel accord's, not a brilliant engine from account's I've heard, clutch's can be big buck's as they take the flywheel out with it when it goes, been known for exhaust manifold's to crack, other than that, they seem to be ok, but it was Honda's first attempt at it's own diesel engine.... Mr Brown
imo japenese don't really make very good disels. Im not a diesel person and would not personally buy one (stuck in my ways LOL) but from what i have heard avoid Jap (with a few exceptions), French (at all costs)
