Any experiences or recommendations about adjustable cam gears for B18C4? I'm changing the cam belt soon and thought this might be a good opportunity for an upgrade...

Really, no one? At the moment i'm think about these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Skunk2-Cam-Gears-Pro-Series-Black-90-01-Integra-DOHC-B16-B17-B18-B20-H23A1-2-Pcs-/221181001619

Skunk2 has other engine goodies that look tempting too so this might be a good way to start. I'm going to the states in late June so IF i can wait for that long, i'll save shipping & import tax and with the cheaper retail price save a total of 100€ compared to buying from the EU!

Defo skunk2 I'd have said. Not sure what the gains are in having then though aside from aesthetic. Unless your skiing for a highly tuned engine.

They gains are in the adjustabilty you get when combined with Hondata or a similar engine management system.

Yes mate that's what I meant. A highly tuned engine.

Have a look at Jake's EG project, he's just had his B18C4 mapped with ITR cams and a few other bits at just over 190bhp!

You mean this one i guess? http://civic5.com/forum/index.php?/topic/5799-kinks-eg-project/page-23

Yes that's pretty imperssive, something to aim for. Ordered the skunks, will be fitted in 2 weeks. :-)

I would sway away from an ebay seller unless they're a gold seller or shop because there are some fake skunk2 can gears around

Guy who tuned my car said if I had adjustable cam gears I could have more low down power.. but always a sacrifice it would loose else wear.

So I guess the standard timing is good for top end.

Swings and roundabouts then really! Down to the driving style!
