  1. Hi all, new to the forum from the north of Scotland. Had three of civics in the past but this is my new daily. It is a 1 owner, full Honda service history, 33k on the clock and a 1.4 auto. Perfect daily. Plan is is to make it a simple clean daily, alloys, coil overs etc.

  5. Quick update, been away in New Zealand with work for a few weeks so no solid progress on the car but parts arrived while i was away so I got a few small jobs done on Sunday. Fuel System - finally bought all the fittings and hose to do the fuel system. Spent about 2 hours routing and plumbing it in but will need a bit more work. At least all the hoses are now cut to length. Fuel pickup, to filter (which will have a top cover), to the bulkhead. Return is attached and back to tank. Finally the vent is sent straight up to the cage, looped back and needs a bulkhead fitting putting in to vent to the outside of the car in a "dead air zone" Fuel lines from the rail to the fuel pressure regulator and then back along the bulkhead. Excuse the wiring, need to tidy up the routing

  6. In better (and non-ranting!) news, made an okay start on the engine bay. Here it is fresh after some painting on the rocker cover. Painted over some rusted parts on the AC fan unit and Still a good clean up to be had, radiator cap in the post, etc. Tried wrapping the fuse box lid, but it was really really hard so I went for a rough covering of the most raised bit instead. Next time I'm at the breaker's I'll try get a spare that I can toy about with and possibly spray red. Eyeing up some red ignition leads too, will it be good practice to replace these anyway seeing as mine are now 19 years old? (I know the radiator stay is upside down in this pic, I couldn't figure out which way up to put it as my socket was slightly the wrong size so wouldn't tighten it all the way!)

  7. More small jobs over the weekend - Function 7 LCA Brace - ARB There are a pair of additional support brackets that need to be fitted, unfortunately once again these were not designed for the Aerodeck!, time to modify.... These go inside the subframe for the brace and ARB brackets to attach to. The ARB brackets also had to be modified as the holes don't quite line up so just had to drill them out slightly Forgot to take pictures underneath so I'll do that this weekend. Car is on all 4 wheels and mobile again though! Sunday was wiring, so fitted all the chassis loom to the front of the car down the inside of each wing. Had to support the trunking in the wing so went for some riveted wire guides Protected the cable as it came through the chassis so it doesn't rub Other side, slightly different run as I had a little less cable to work with So just the headlight and fan plugs to wire up and the engine bay is done. Started the loom from the milspec to the ECU but ran out of wire Also fitted the next part of the oil system ahead of the engine install Fitted the oil temp and pressure sensors to the remote oil filter mounting
