  1. I'd go for a deck if I was you, I often wish I'd got one.
  2. Looks very original, even original stereo.
  3. Sounds like a good time to be at the back of the queue.
  4. I thought you had a mid-spoiler, I wondered where it had gone but it's back now so all's well.
  5. Same here, lots of short journeys where I don't get chance to open it up, so it when I do get chance it goes right the way round and sod the fuel.
  6. Nice mate, do you still get a decent reception from it?
  7. I was just thinking the same thing. The same goes for the other 3 guys who've not had a vote though, every single car here is a worthy winner.
  8. If you can find a vtis deck that would be very nice, apparently only around 40 left though.
  9. Inlet Air Butterfly, the valve that opens at around 5800rpm allowing full bats**t crazy mode. You should be able to hear the engine change note noticeably then as well as @4500rpm when the vtec higher cam engages.
  10. Ah, you meant skinned alive when you get home. Agree with Tom, buy it and then explain you can't sell yours first otherwise you'll be stuck without transport.
  11. If it ain't broke…
  12. Yes, I think you probably would need a mappable ecu, to be honest it's a bit of a minefield and so many people say different things it's hard to know what's right. It seems like you've got it right though, making good smooth power which transfers well to the tarmac.
  13. Definitely interesting, as Jake said most tuners move the vtec crossover to around 5500-6000rpm, having said that this is usually done with an iab delete, this changes the characteristics of the car altogether though and makes it more like the usual vtec of very little power and then bang! off we go. What does it feel like on the road?
  14. Well it looks clean and straight, just check all the usual things does it drive in a straight line, any knocks, clicks or bangs when turning a full circle, pulls up straight, revs all the way to the redline effortlessly, vtec crossover @4.5k and iabs opening @5.8k, electrics all working, any signs of leaks (windscreen area, boot floor etc.), service history, cambelt change, paintwork and interior condition. If all that's good, make him an offer, if there's any problems that shouldn't be too hard to fix try and list them to make your case for a price reduction. If he's away on holiday I'm sure it would be nice to have some cash in his pocket rather than knowing he's got to come home and try and sell the car still. I think it is, hard to tell when it's on it's side. Car looks familiar though.
