  1. I know i know, I get worried when i leave it in a car park down town, just paranoid i guess
  2. Going to stick with the original cams for now guys, not going to need silly revs with the turbo i want
  3. Do type-r cams drop straight in, and wouldn't i need springs and retainers as well? Just wanted to get it sorted as is to be honest, my hunt for N/A power is at an end after the remap i reckon, Boost is the way forward That will have to wait for the time being though as i'll need to save up for the right kit, don't want no ebay crap!
  4. At Dynodaze in Hinkley, 45 miles away! I'm having it remapped on the dyno. Hopefully sort out the dip in power, improve mpg and gain a few ponies at the top. It just sucks they are so far away
  5. I feel lost without my car and its only been gone 3 hours Feck knows what i'll be like in a week!
  6. Booked in for re-mapping next week, hopefully gain a couple of hp but more importantly sort out the big dip in power at crossover and improve economy Gonna hold off on the S300 for now, its overkill for my car as it stands...
  7. For some strange reason i quite like those 3 spokes
  8. Only just seen this Thanks for the nomination Grant
  9. The point of getting a s300 and a wideband would be i could map it myself... After lots of reading/learning of course! Always good to learn something new

  11. Cheers for the feedback guys. Only reason i was thinking S300 is because I'm pondering boosting her so would be cheaper in the long run... A full remap is £270-300! That's nearly half the price of a S300 and a wideband Mine doesn't have the iabs any more the Skunk2 inlet manifold does away with them
  12. Cheers I'm in two minds of what to do though, Do i just be safe get it remapped and live with it or do i go all out save up for a S300 and a wideband and do it myself an maybe run the risk of killing it
  13. Here is a little vid of the dyno run https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iydwusckgAg
  14. Well took it to Dynodaze this morning and it made 180bhp and 130lbft. A little less than i was hoping for but when you look at the AFR you see why, its not great! I thought it felt a bit flat when the vtec engaged... Definitely going to get it remapped at some point in the near future.
  15. Fitted a cold air induction kit today. Its definitely made an improvement and the sound....oh the sound, It sounds epic! Especially when crossing over to Vtec Just gonna have to watch out for floods now! Going to go dynodaze on sunday and chuck her on the rollers, see what she's making now.
  16. Nothing to do with my car but my Brother turned up in his new run around today Not too shabby MA8, picked it up for £200! Sure he'll be along at some point to say hello.
  17. Quite an improvement throughout and its savage over 6000 RPM. Will know for sure when i get it on the dyno Then get it remaped to optimize it.
  18. I found out another good thing about about this skunk2 intake manifold... You can change your oil filter from the top with ease!
  19. Loving the Deck fella! How did you manage to get a Double din head unit in there!?
  20. Best mod i have made so far I got mine from H-tune - http://h-tune.co.uk/skunk2-pro-series-intake-manifold-honda-b-series-b18c4.html Its pretty reasonable at first glance but then you have to add throttle body, gaskets, throttle cable, throttle bracket, bigger intake, P28 + remap, Injector seals and then add labour on top if your not fitting it yourself... Its a slippery slope, worth it though!
  21. All done, was easier than i thought. It was one of the little o-rings that had split causing the leak!
  22. Seals have just turned up! Time to get covered in fuel, yey...
  23. Its an old (1996) Yamaha YZF1000 Thunderace, Getting on a bit now but still stupid fast
  24. Cheers Yea i ordered 2 meters of 4mm Vacuum hose and 6mm and 8mm 1 ply hose then just cut it down to the correct length. Got it from http://www.autosiliconehoses.com/
