So how many lambda/02 sensors does the MB6 Civic originally have? My car had aftermarket exhaust system since i got it, so i have no idea what's the most ideal/original position of lambda/02 sensor. And also does it originally come with 1 or 2 sensors? If 2 then where does the other one go to? I've never had OEM cat so where does to 02 sensor go to? I know that there is supposed to be at least 1 sensore before the cat or at the cat... Does the OEM header/exhaust manifold have o2 connection or was it directly on the cat itself? I have aftermarket header with plugged o2 connection and the lambda is currently connected directly to aftermarket cat since it already had a connection to it. But is the best place for the sensor at the end of the header pipe before the cat starts? I'm asking all of this because i have constant issues with high emissions. I'm trying to rule out things. ECU could cause all sorts of readings depending on the set up... Right now i'm going to replace the rusted header if that helps. If the header leaks somewhere, it could lead to surprisingly big emission issues. ECU for instance could assume that the engine is running too lean, and compensate it with more fuel so that it runs rich... Has anyone changed thermostat, coolant/radiator cap, coolant temperature sensor? Many people here have issues with emissions on B18c4. So did any of those things fix the issue for someone? Or does the car need a OEM cat? ECU issue regarding non-OEM parts used? These cars doesn't seem to like some of the aftermarket parts if i'm not wrong...

Hey lads, Have previously put a build thread on civiclife forum but thought I'd wack one up here too for different opinions etc. Currently I have re-sprayed the grill and re-badged boot... Ive cleaned up bay, powder coated rocker cover and fitted short ram induction kit (soon to be cold air induction kit)... Removed headlight washer jets... New head unit, fusion sub and fli door speakers... Next I plan to fill jet holes in front bumper and re-spray it, along with skirts and rear bumper as they have a few dings etc. Purchased the relevant stuff for this from halfords, had a question though... If i get paint colour using cars ext. paint code... Once lacquered will it have the desired effect or will it look out of place.... The silver has a metallic shine to it but not sure if my sprayed bumpers will come out the same as not done this before? Any tips welcome please!! Here's a couple pics anyway...

Aerodeck VTi abs not working. When breaking hard, instead of applying abs the pedal suddenly goes in deeper and locks the brakes. No abs light, no fault codes. No fluid leaks in the system. I did get the brake lines replaced last spring, so might have something to do with the issue. I've checked the lines and made sure everything has been done properly and every line goes where they are supposed to. Any idea what might cause the abs system to malfunction, without turning on the abs light?

well I'm new to the whole aerodeck club really, but I've always know about them and had a soft spot for them and now I've got myself one! I've managed to get myself a rust free vti aerodeck with loads of history and less than 100k on the clocks.. just lol. the engine and box are great very smooth and quite and the aircon even works! there's a knocking on the suspension/steering somewhere, I think its a track rod so those will be changes this weekend. the rear brakes were past it so it's had new disks and pads on the rear. But I'm pretty sure the rear sliders are sticking so that's another job to check over. the sunroof needs a new seal it doesn't let water in but the noise on the motorway! the drivers window also need looking at. it's as if its sitting lower on one end and when you put the window up it drags in the window seal. then it just needs a parcel shelf, a new horn, rear bumper and boot lid could do with some tlc or swapping and the drivers wing could do with being changed if the dent can't be pulled out. not to bad for an bus right? now for the goodies! I've bought a few little bits for it first of all was a vtis kit front and rear skirts and side skirts then I found a mid spoiler on eBay pretty cheep so I bought that right away! the kit does need painting so I'm not sure when I'll be able to get that done. I managed to get a set of genuine floor mats for free and they're pretty mint. Today I've had a new set of wheels delivered in the form of 16x7 rota fighters with brand new yoko tyres. can't wait to see them on! the next step now is coilovers which I'm thinking about ordering after payday. exciting times! I'll leave it there for now. I'll try get some pictures up over the weekend. Dan

Hi All, New member introducing my recently acquired '99 VTiS Aerodeck. Latecomer to Civics (and FWD) but had a mint MB3 for a short while last year that got me interested. My son suggested an aerodeck when he knew I was looking for an interesting estate (not many around - Volvo 850 T5R ?) and when this one came up (having checked the rarity), had to go and see it. On paper a good car - one owner from new, 93k miles, full main dealer history (16 stamps to 2017), cambelt done at 55k. All by same dealer, as were all the MOTs to 2018 when it failed on corrosion to rear suspension mountings and seatbelt anchorages. Car being sold with new MOT, so was expecting some welding in those areas. Small time dealer selling it sent me pics of underside - looked ok. Anyway viewed it (rather hurriedly) and it was obvious had been standing outside for a while, very dirty, green mold in places, interior very dirty, underbonnet dirty and rocker cover flaking, some marks to half leather interior, bit of water in spare wheelwell. VTiS drivers mat holed in 2 places. Bad scratches to top of rear bumper. One headlight washer missing. Nearly new standard exhaust from cat back. Unmarked alloys. Only one key and remote fob (rubber buttons missing), no red key. Full set of books in original wallet. Totally original. Welding appeared to have been done quite well, neat but some welds needed grinding back and underseal already coming away. Took it for a drive - plenty of power, braked and handled ok. Electrics all worked. Overall, ok for the money and when I found out that it had spent its whole life in my birthplace, had to buy it. The pics below are just a starter, more about the bad bits later. They show the results of about 3 washes and jetwashes, one missing headlight washer replaced, foglights removed (totally corroded away). Some of the purple in the paint has come back but obviously needs a good claying and machine polish. At that stage was already thinking it would need an extensive service, cambelt, waterpump etc etc More later...….. (you will note that pattern exhaust tailpipe does not exit in centre of bumper cutout) Cheers, Martin

Aerodeck vti isn't listed separately from the vti-s, so don't know if it's just missing or included here... Though would have thought there's have been more than 95 mc2 registered around 2001... Might be picked up in the first one. Either way, not many Vtis left around.. 93 licensed in total.

Hi all, it was about time i stopped posting in the wrong thread and started my own. For the start a quick story about how i got my aerodeck. About 4 years ago, when i was looking for my first car, i found out that Honda decided to put B18 into family sedan/wagon, but at that time, there were none for sale in Slovakia ad i could not afford importing one, so I settled for the most reasonable option: Skoda Felicia for 370€ which i have to this day. My father had an FK2 Civic at that time, which i fell in love with from occasional driving. Fast forward 3 years, i dropped out of university (again) and decided to end my student life and find a job. Within a few weeks i got employed as a CNC machinist with above average pay. At this point of time, my father was considering retirement and a purchase of a new car. We decided, that when he buys new one, the FK2 will stay in family instead of getting sold. It was the end of october when he brought home 2017 Mazda 3 (2.0, petrol, auto) and i started to pay for the FK (200€/mo, 4500€ total). It was only 16th of december when i was coming home from night shift when i fell asleep behind the wheel, resulting in a crash into oncoming car. Luckily nobody was hurt, as it was pretty low speed crash and we hit only with front left headlight/quarter panel/wheel, but the FK was totaled. It could be repaired, but for insurance company it was not worth it, so they payed us 4000€ for the car and we still had the option to sell the wreck. one monday evening i was looking at used car prices, to find out how much we could get for it, when i stumbled upon silver Aerodeck VTi for 2800€. Price was a bit higher than i expected, but hey, it was only third aerodeck vti for sale in Slovakia for the past four years. I could not let that opportunity pass. Tuesday morning i called the seller and on friday evening i was driving home in my new deck with ear to ear smile on my face. Shortly after we sold the FK wreck for 900€. You lose some, you get some. I love my deck, but i still miss that UFO. As things stand today, i have to do a stage 0 maintenance and on top of that i already had brake hard lines replaced as the old ones cracked and leaked, which cost me 100€. Yesterday i snapped left drive shaft, i ordered both from J&R, 116€ delivered, they should arrive on wdnesday. Last week i changed oil, oil and air filters. Tried to change fuel filter, but i could not loosen it, so i let it be for time being. Thing that await me in near future are clutch, timing belt, rear muffler, summer tires and some minor stuff. About future upgrades i want to start with basic stuff, LED H4 bulbs, short throw shifter, shifter poly bushes, rear sway bar, higher performance brake pads and rotors, braided brake lines, maybe also clutch line, high performance smer tires and if i will have spare cash also some nicer alloys and leave OE alloys for winter. When all of this will be done i would consider coilovers, but if i get a good offer before that, i might as well change the order. Another thing i am considering is getting integra stainless cat back, which could i get for around 250 and tweak it to fit, but i am afraid it would require too much work and in the end would not be worth it. Considering replacement OE spec rear section costs around 130... If i forgot something i wanted to say, i will add it later. Thanks for reading and bearing with me.

My first car was a MB8 that i bought in July 2008 but in march 2009 i couldn't resist anymore, took a loan and got myself the car that i had wanted in the first place, the MC2. It wasn't in the best possible condition when i got it and still needs lots of work, but slowly and surely it's starting to turn into what i hope one day will be the lowest, fastest and baddest Aerodeck in Finland. I just got my winter rims from Alloywheels.com and got them installed, i'll post pictures of the new look soon. I have lots planned for my deck... i'll keep you updated on the progress.

Hi everyone So after selling my Aerodeck and regretting it for the past 1 year and 2 months I have finally found myself another Pirates Black VTI Aerodeck. Really happy with the purchase . I will be getting it home today. 137K mileage with some paperwork showing work done for last few MoTs. I will get full service and Cambelt changed soon. Just a few pics from the seller for now. Wonder if anyone on here has owned it in the past?

Hello, I've been following this forum for a while but never introduced myself so I think it's about time that I do this My name is Ringo, i'm from Belgium so my Englisch isn't the best but I'll try. I have my aerodeck mc2 now for almost a year. When I bought him it had 110.000 km. This is when I bought him : My first modification were wheels and h&r lowering springs. I also changed the oil to mobil1 5w40 and mounted a itr oem airbox. Changed the sparkplugs and installed a cat converter. This week I'm gonna change the brake pads to ebc black ones. I also did a big order at all4honda.nl, a 5 panel mirror, a sensor for oiltemp and oilpress, a new fuelfilter, a hamp oilfilter, an oilpan gasket, a exhaust header gasket, a few little things and the biggest thing, an invidia g200 catback from a civic coupe/sedan 92-95. Also I want to buy a utcomp board computer and install the oil sensors on it. I also bought a vti-s front and back lip wich must be painted in red. I had the chance to buy a secondhanded tegiwa toda rep header wich is almost brand new. When the new updates are installed I'll be posting some new pictures. This is a picture of me and hondaprojason when he visited the netherlands : edit november 2015 : these are the mods i've did so far: performanceitr airbox with k&n filter and cold air feedtegiwa toda rep. headerdecatsrs r60 catbackinsane shafts driveshaftsoem itr clucthact streetlight flywheelhamp oilfilterebc brakepads suspensionh&r coilover kitrota grid 17x7,5 et45black lugnutspirelli p zero nero 205-40-17mg zs 18mm swaybar rearenergy suspension front swaybar endlinks bushingsenergy suspension gear shift bushings interiortegiwa 360 degree shifter extensiontegiwa type r gear knob5-panel mirror exteriorvti-s lip kitvti-s spoilergrill and logo wrapped in matt blackfake air intakes in fog surroundingsheadlights tinted in blackwhite sidemarkersdebadged trunknew paint on vti-s kit, trunk rear bumper, mirrors, and doorhandlestegiwa rear tow hookpainted brake calipers redclimair window visors frontshort atenna engine baydarkicedesigns hoodstrutspassword jdm radiator staypassword jdm vtec solenoid covertegiwa washers tenzo-r battery tiedownskunk2 plug cover future modsutcomp trip computer (working on it)engine dress-upwindow visors rear and roofwindow tintingheadlights blackhousing diynew paint valve coverskunk2 water hosesbishimoto water reservoir

I just cant stay away from Honda M's it seems, after 8 months or so of driving boring diesels since putting the G99P MB2 into storage, I seem to have acquired an MC2. Couldnt really say no for £600 with a few mods already. Just need a quieter exhaust so its legal for track days Matt

Hi, for a few days now, i am a new owner of 1999 aerodeck VTi. So far i am happy with how the car, but i am interested in doing some suspension/handling mods. I tried looking for MG ZS180 rear ARB, but they seem to be all gone, since i was not able to find any for sale. Because of this, i was wondering, if there are any other cars that has similar suspension to MC2. I know that some parts from EK/EG/DC2 could possibly fit, but wanted to know, which are the closest to decks. Also those mentioned before have many more aftermarket options, but only some ebay sellers mark their items as (fits: civic aerodeck) and even then i am not sure if these parts will fit. I saw some mentions that for example DC2 LCAs are almost identical to M series civics, and mainly was thinking, whether would also rear arb from DC2 fit with just a slight modifications. So what i am asking for is recommendation about what parts should i look for, that would require the least amount of modifications to fit my deck. I am a bit late to this game and see that there are only few members still active, but i will try to keep you posted with any progress to the car. Thanks in advance for any relevant info. Edit: i forgot to mention, that i am working with CNC mills and have also access to lathes, so i can make most needed spacers, brackets and stuff. So if i get some coilovers that have the highest point of adjustment too low for my liking, i will simply make aluminium plates, to rise it up a bit

Hi all im jay n this is my aerodeck vti. Its got 120k on the clock. Some service history and many battle scars and signs of abuse perfect for a project and was mine for 1k. I bought it nearly a year ago n its solid underneath no rust anywhere its just a little tatty on the paintwork usuall story the paint is flaking on the bonnet and boot (longbridge build quality lol) n lots of carpark dings n scratches. Mechanically its sound engine wise that is lol as for the gearbox its the noisiest one ive ever had as recently its started to play up long story short new one getting fitted next week along with a new clutch.

Hello there guys and girls, my name Is Mark Gompertz and I am sort of new to the Honda scene. I've just found this forum so thought I'd introduce myself and make a thread to upload progress pictures up! So to start off.. I picked up this little big beauty from a car auction site (copart) for a fair price! Intentionally bought it to take its running gear out and put in my old micra! () But as soon as I sat in and started playing with its little gadgets like the air con, light dimmer switch, electric Windows and electric sunroof, half leather interior, seeing how much boot space there was! And then I drove it.. It was such a smooth, responsive car that handled amazingly with that LSD differential, and then you put your foot down and stuff happens! The b18c4 engine ran like it had just left the factory even being on 138,000 miles. I fell in love with it that day. (The light dimmer switch was what won me over...) The previous owner had put on a private plate and left it still assigned to the car V37 NAM which looks a bit like Vietnam which is where the the name has came from! I've had a few people mention it to me in the street like "hey it says Vietnam haha!" It's comical and brightens my day ! Lol Back to the present! 7 months and 10,000 miles have passed by and I have fiddled with a few things modification wise.. I've put bucket seats and a harness in (ran out of gas to weld brackets for the passenger harness) I've ghetto lowered it, but will buy some coilovers when I get the funds! some mega wide 16" junk dregs on with a little amount of stretch on the back, I've put rear camber bolts in to make the rear wheels legal, running something like 4-5 deg of camber ive put on vtis front and rear bumpers and side skirts as my standard bumpers were a bit battered and fogs were bus and they had the lips still on ive stripped out the interior from the back seats to the boot ive cut out slots in the bumper do reduce all that drag added a HONDA sunstrip which is mega race car HID's team heko wind deflectors red cam cover purply pink led sidelights bumper ties rear tie bar and tow hook engine wise I've put a skunk2 pro inlet manifold on, s2000 air filter, Magnacore HT leads, new OEM Honda stem seals and other various stem seals when I put a new head gasket on i got a hole of a ram horn exhaust manifold from a friend of mine that was on his b18 CR-X! my initial plan was to make a full front to back system, but.. I'm not a very subtle type of person so as you can see from the pictures I went for a bumper exit! 4-1 to a stainless 9 degree 3" bend and a 3" straight pipe to the bumper, it sounds pretty mega up the revs and pulled a lot better than when I had the standard system onł Took her to Japshow 2016 on the Micra Sports Club stand Monster truck mode enabled! At my local track on Anglesey, Trac Mon. And then I finally got round to lowering it! Also put in HID's in and took the roof bars off Sunstrip and sticker from when I went on Anglesey track! Red cam cover, s2000 filter and skunk 2 pro inlet manifold, bit of a mess but it looks a lot more tidy now I got rid of the unnessasary hoses and the IAB canister and cabon canister i picked up this exhaust manifold from a friend, had a crack in port no.4 that needed welding up which I got my dad to do as he is amazing at fiddly welding jobs and always manages to make it look neat What the system looks like in full here it is on the car! Pretty much all visable when you take the bumper off which is easy with the bumper ties As you'd expect it is quite loud.. I will be putting a silencer in the middle of the pipe from just after the bend to just before the inside of the bumper soon but it's not my main priority at the moment it pops when you tickle the throttle on overdrive at 2k revs which is fun, and sounds like a racing bike at around 6-8k Ive ordered some exhaust Spring hooks so that the collectors are tight together as I have a slight blow coming from the join, and will put some exhaust paste around to seal In the past couple days I have spaced up the bonnet 20mm and put in purpely pink led sidelights which are pretty And to bring this massive introduction of myself and Vietnam to a close (until I post up here next, the most recent mod I have done is swap over the faces from a set of integra clocks I acquired off eBay for a bargain price, and stuck them to my OEM dials, and pt in the yellow needles, still need to do the temp and fuel gauges and change the colour of the illumination lights but once it's all done it'll be great! I hope you enjoy my pretty much DIY/ghetto build, I'll be uploading pictures and some videos from now on, some of you may already know me and I already know a couple but it's nice to meet you all and fingers crossed I meet you guys at some meets /shows! Peace! -Mark

Hello, I searched but didn't find answer so. I'm looking for SS exhaust for MC2. I can buy Spoon, Skunk2 and other brands, but they do not make one for MC2 or MB6. I have used OEM MB6 exhaust on my EK3 with little cutting and welding at the back box and custom cat delete pipe, so I have reason to believe that DC2 or EM1 type exhaust can fit. Do you know if the MB6 and MC2 exhaust are the same. I know the part from the cat to LCA is the same, but how does the back box fit the rear bumper ? Also DC2 or EM1 exhaust fit MC2 or MB6 ? Thank you.

Since I joined Civic5 and started seeing all the nice Ms I have wanted to have a VTI deck in Pirates Black but due to financial reasons and the price they would be selling for I was unable to fulfil my dream..The other morning I went on Auto Trader just to have a look as usual with no plans of buying a Car..but as I searched for Honda Civic Estates I saw this ad of someone selling a Pirates Black one in Birmingham so me and mrs. decided to go have a look at the car..but as soon as we saw it we knew we have to buy it..so I took it for a test drive and loved it..It's done 136k..Completely standard..2 Previous owners and the last owner had it for 8 years..and it's evident that he looked after it and didn't abuse the car..There is no rust anywhere..some swirls and minor scratches on the paintwork but nothing major..I am very happy and excited to have this car and looking forward to some nice changes Pictures from the ad. I haven't taken any yet..but tomorrow morning if the weather is nice I will take some more

Found this on eBay, 34 thousand miles on it! Short MOT and needs a bit of love but wouldn't take much to make that a stunning deck. Hope someone here buys it! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Civic-VTI-MC2-Aerodeck-B18C4-/162382525289?hash=item25cec0b369:g:g1oAAOSwTglYlL1l
