  1. Haha! Well I don't get home from work until 22:30, so pics might have to wait.
  2. I paid £400 for an S80 with LSD in my old MB6. It was excellent, really livened up the car and allowed the car to stay in VTEC changing from 1st to 2nd. It revved a fair bit higher than the S9B in fifth gear, though.
  3. Thanks for the positive comments. I'm really happy with how things are coming along. I still have my rear mud guards to fit, and I'm planning to spray the chrome lip above the rear plate at some point. I think I'll end up painting that blue as opposed to satin black. I might remove the 'Honda' badge on the back as well.
  4. Thanks! The springs turned up yesterday afternoon, so I'll have them on in the not-too-distant future.
  5. New mods as of 31/03/13. Sprint SW9 with 195/45/r16 rubber De-tango the front indicators Sprayed the headlight innards satin black Sprayed front grill surround satin black Fitted VTi front lip. New pics! I just need to get her lowered now! I was planning to spray the lip, but think I'll leave it as it is for a while. It doesn't look too bad black.
  6. VTi front lip arrived today, in Pirates Black. I had a can of Atlantic Blue mixed up in Halfords yesterday. If I get time tomorrow I might sand down and prime, ready to paint in a few days.
  7. Good things come to those who wait. Or so I've heard.
  8. The wheels are on the car now but I might wait until she's dropped before I put more pics on here. Today I sprayed my headlight innards and grill surround satin black. I'm really happy with the result! I still need to fit the headlights back on the car, though. Lights were a proper arse to remove, I don't remember having this much trouble on my MB6! Hopefully the result will be worth it when they're back on the car.
  9. Go fully colour-coded if you have the opportunity. Will look great!
  10. Just over nine hours and I'll have my new wheels! My springs dispatched today as well, so the car will hopefully be sitting a little lower next week.
  11. Ideal. I have a fresh tube of sealant loaded and ready to apply as required. My mud guards turned up this morning. They aren't in the greatest of condition, but are better than not having any at all. I'm not sure if my car has ever had guards in the past, as the rear bumper doesn't have any holes tapped where they would fit. Naturally, one of the screws on the N/S/F is seized and won't undo, turning a quick an easy job into one that takes a bit longer. Always the way!
  12. They twist out without having to remove the lenses? It was a long time ago, but I'm sure I ended up cutting them and pulling/shaking the pieces out of the indicator hole. I could be thinking of something else, though. Maybe it was pliers, and not a hacksaw blade?! With the hair dryer method, did you have to use silicone sealant to stick them back together?
  13. Oh yes! I think I'm going to try the baking tray method to get the lenses off. When I de-tangoed the lights on my MB6 I managed to get the orange filters out by cutting it with a fine hacksaw blade, so didn't have to remove the lenses. I hope I don't mess it up as they're my only set.
  14. Getting prepared for Friday. I might do the grill surround as well, if I have time. I'm picking up my wheels on Friday as well! 9am start, then off to my parents' to get to work on transforming the front end. *hopes things go smoothly*
  15. Thanks all. I bought a VTi lip today, in black. Once it arrives I'll put it on as is for a while, but will likely end up getting it painted blue at some point.
  16. Fitting my front speakers Out with the old, in with the new. Held up the spacer and drilled four holes into the door. I bought some speaker adaptor leads from eBay, to save me having to hack the block off the OE wiring. These just clip into existing wiring and on to the new speakers. Cost £3.89. Repairing the heater resistor pack Removed glovebox via two screws underneath the box, then removed the offending resistor pack. Broken! Fixed, and now all heater settings work as they should. Total cost, £7.49.
  17. Here's my old MB6 VTiS. Bought stock in March 2005 (94k) for £2995, sold in February 2013 (194k) for £950. The Auto Trader ad. She sold within 48hrs! Maybe I priced too low?
