  1. One word...NO! Will spend my money on MGZS Suspension instead!
  2. Hrm, good point, it's hard to get decent bhp gains on an n/a and getting 15 bhp from ONE bolt on mod did seem alot to me but then i took the guys word for it! So in other words, its not worth the extra £300, roughly, for inlet manifold and another dyno setup Alastair
  3. Some Pictures; Dyno Sheets; BHP @ Wheels; Torque @ Wheels;
  4. No probs, get it up soon (results that is )
  5. Hi mate, thanks for that info! Unfortunately the tune up has rooked me for this month so have to save a little now! Damn this money carry on! Alastair
  6. Got fuel pressure regulator sorted on saturday, in time for dyno tune on monday! Phew! Mods; 4-2-1 mani de-cat short ram filter (direct air feed) fuel regulator p28 ecu P28 ecu caused car to mis-fire coming off roundabouts / junctions etc. Not good, had to get sorted! Before; Power; 172bhp @ wheels Torque; 120 After; Power; 185bhp @ wheels Torque; 133 Tuning guy said that im gaining 30 bhp and 40 llb mid-range and gaining 20bhp and 30llb top end. He said that fitting inlet manifold would see 200bhp @ wheels. No bad results for the mods. I will keep an eye out for 2nd hand manifold on ebay etc and buy if i see one! Not spending big on this car like my others! Sensible head on for a change. Cheers Alastair
  7. Just my bloody luck. Went to fit regulator at work last night and bracket that bolts onto fuel rail is wrongly aligned. Hole doesnt match up to the rail hole. I just ordered adaptor plate there, can't fit the regulator as i bet the part wont be here on time. ragin now as i bet it wont arrive saturday...even with express delivery paid. Car booked for dyno this Monday hence the rush
  8. Re-named this post as i had a look at my standard fuel rail. When the pressure regulator i ordered arrives, the pipework looks straight forward...however, what do i do about the old set up? Surely if im redirecting pipes to new regulator the old regulator on the rail will leak fuel as it will not longer be needed. Do i just block off the old regulator inlet? Thanks in advance Alastair
  9. i think a pepc1 But talk to rich before fitting it _____________________________________________________________________________________________ i have no idea im no expert ,,, rich is your man Will Pm Rich and ask his advice...again!!
  10. Yeah, thats what i was thinking. Don't want to use someone elses setup incase it doesnt suit my driving / fueling needs! Cheers for reply
  11. Hi troops! Just purchased this p28 ecu from ebay; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120922224908? ... 1439.l2649 I have 4-2-1 manifold, de-cat, short ram air filter (with direct air feed pipe) and powerflow back box. I was planning on an H-Tune P28 as recommended by H-Tune and Rich off here, then getting it rolling roaded set up....but the ecu and basemap costs are quite high and then i stumbled across this in my search for a cheaper option. What do you guys think? Honest opinion as i what to do next! Rolling road set up to my car spec or do i trust its set up ok? Cheers Alastair
  12. 74k on V reg VTIS MB6
  13. I have a short air filter assembly on my vti-s and it sounds and feels a tad more responsive. I bought it for the noise tbh and happy with it!
  14. Robbin b*stard then; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MG-Rover-400- ... 53e9cec6a9
  15. I thought that but was wondering if the bushes were the same/interchangeable Cheers ali
  16. Hi troops! I bought a mg zs 180 rear anti roll bar with links from fleabay. The bushes were fine..until i decided to take all bolts out and replace with new ones for future 'easyness'! However, one of the link bush metal insert was welded to the bolt, so need new one...i thought i may as well replace all the bushes. QUESTION: Does Honda bushes fit the mgzs anti roll bar? It would be easier to get from Honda as i get staff discount for working within the motor trade group! Plus ebay are charging approx £28 for a MGZS kit...THAT DOES ONE SIDE!!! Cheers Ali
  17. Hrm,will research into that! Cheers
  18. Hi! I understand that these things are costly, just wanted the vibe as to get a remap or not! I will contact a scottsh re-map company soon and arrange things, think remap would probably be my best bet as only looking to have a kind of 'sleeper' that will surprise people and handy for overtaking safely..... I would be happy with 185bhp! Decent tyres are on the menu...once i decide if i want to sell the team dynamic alloys (205/40/17) that came with it or go with 215/50/16 alloys! Appreciate the reply! Alastair
  19. Hi folks! I have used the search facility and have been reading all the info regarding p30, skunk 2 inlets and re maps. Some of u are getting good bhp with simple mods! I have just bought a vti-s with 65,000 miles. Already fitted 4 2 1 manifold, de cat and it already had a rear sports box and short air filter kit. I thought bout skunk 2 inlet but cost of everything is steap! Would a remap be worth it or should i have decent gains with what ive done? Im looking to get around 190bhp to be happy!! Whats ur thoughts please? Ta Alastair

  22. Hi troops! I recently bought mudflaps to fit to my vti-s but i was wary of the sideskirts but bought anyway! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270739434775? ... 1439.l2649 They do not fit! I tried to erm, well, modify them to fit around the sideskirts but made a dogs meal of them! Anyone here fitted to vti-s before and can steer me in the right direction...away from Honda dealership though! Cheers Alastair
  23. ok guys, will contact seller but i bet i know his response...."but it's for an integra..." If not then i will get a horn button wired up near steering wheel! Thanks Ali
  24. Hi folks, Im a newbie on this site as i bought an mb6 vti-s two weeks ago. Was a member of the TypeAccord website but ofter a motorway pileup, my Accord is no more! *petted lip** I have bought a few goodies to make my standard vti-s my own. One of the purchases was this; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180784198395? ... 1439.l2649 I fitted it today but i have no horn as there seems to be a lack of contact ring. I can't use the old horn contact as the boss won't fit over the plugs etc. Has anyone on her had similar problems and found a solution...other than wiring up a seperate horn switch (would be hellish trying to find switch to peep at someone! I appreciate any info on this! Cheers Ali
