  1. Boot interior held on by clip / plastic rivets, take your time removing them and just peel back the boot interior trim to reveal the rear shocker nuts.
  2. Got a 4-2-1 manifold fitted....so not much difference there!
  3. Yeah i know, my last mb6 had custom exhaust but had a rear universal back box. Didnt rasp though! I bought a universal back box off fleabay for £44 posted so will try that. If that fails then i can stick the exhaust on my bmw track car!
  4. Hi, I had a sport silencer put in place of the cat when i changed the manifold...a few months back. Today i got the rid of silencer and went with full decat. I have a Powerflow rear silencer but it's very thin / small in proportion, unlike proper rear silencer. However, after decat the exhaust now rasps slightly up to 5000 rpm. Any one know of a straight fit rear silencer to replace this but without the rasp? I have had raspy exhausts before and to solve this, i had straight through rear pipe/silencer, as the gases seem to like an unrestricted exit. If there is silencer at the back, the gases are slowing down at the exit and that seems to give off rasping effect. Anyone had this problem and fixed this WITHOUT the straight through silencer option? Nearly 33 years old and dont want to go down the mega loud road but i'm embarrased at the corsa 1.2 rasp now!
  5. They have said every time that the only deal with zs stuff. I will keep the first shockers (better condition) they sent me and put either standard civic springs or the 2nd set of springs they sent me...whatever looks the lowest when layed out side by side! Keeping shockers as thats an upgrade in itselelf! Cheers
  6. Dear burbleboy, Hi, mate listen this is getting ridicules now, 1 - 1.4 zs only come from Ireland, 1.6 zs's only come from 2004 onwards, we only only break zs 180 orange and yellow till late 51 plate then whit and blue onwards. All these vehicles are noted on the DVLA system as zs180's seriously mate you have 180's. If they are not what you want follow the returns process as theres nothing more we can do then supply what you ordered. - cwvehicledismantlers Our info regarding spring colours must be wrong then? or not Im going to take the better of the shockers and swop to the blue / orange springs and hope that solves the problems...failing that i'm fitting standard vti-s onto mgzs shocks. Never again will i meddle with retro-fit suspension!
  7. Right, Replacement front shockers/sptings came today..... Same shocker part number RNB000160 + RNB000170 as supplied to me before. Springs have colour code BLUE / ORANGE AND YELLOW........ Front Springs 1.4 & 1.6 K series Non Aircon = ORANGE Aircon = BLUE NEVER AGAIN! Will email them again and tell them there fannies. I may swop the springs that came in today with the shockers that were supplied before as they are in better nick! Nightmare
  8. Fleabay wanted £30 all in posted from lithuania. I took your advice and emailed 4 breakers on ebay and got for £20 posted and chose the seller with best feedback! Result!
  9. Well you could have blown me over with a fart! zs120 suspension now?! Oh well, live and learn!
  10. Sorry, i never answered your original question ...... According to some members off here, yes. Contradicting stories from others though...... I just dont see how it can lower 20mm when the civic is lighter but thats why some members rate this mod as "a top 3 modification" and say it DOES lower 20mm. Confused? I am! It would be be great if it did lower 20mm as stance would be improved but really i'm after handling this time...been down the low scraping road and dont want to go back in a hurry.....yet!
  11. I understand why you are confused! Basically, what i understand, the mgzs 180 AFTER 2002 is what were after!
  12. Guys, thanks you very much! I did my best to try and do it myself but just couldnt understand how to work codes out!
  13. Thats not good news. I DID do research into this and all was positive. What has transpired is that cw dismantlers were sending out what they had and 'may' have known about it or may not have. People would have got the right kit and raved about it, but some, like us, got sh*te! There was nothing we could do but now we know, we can sort it...at great hassle though. Even with the wrong set up on the front, my civic went over the bumps and cambers great, but turning into sharp corner was hedge looming stuff!
  14. Hi! I just found brilliant thread and followed instruction; viewtopic.php?f=60&t=34 Fault code list; viewtopic.php?f=90&t=4268&p=37703&hilit=list+of+fault+codes#p37703 However, ive got one flash about a second long followed by 3 blinks. This is repeated constantly. Anyone got any ideas what fault code relates one pause and 3 blinks? I tried with the fault codes above but nothing is relative to 3 blinks! Cheers
  15. Hi folks! I recently changes front struts / springs to MGZS stuff but my mate must have damaged a abs sensor. Wires look great, no damage, fuse ok. I have used the search facility and need a wee bit of info and found this on another post; "If you haven't checked the ABS code yet, bridge the two-pin connector on pins 3 & 5 of the 5-pin connector in the passenger footwell, then turn the ignition key to ON (i.e. just before the 'start' position. The sensors are easy to replace; an hourish." Questions; How do i read fault code on ecu as the above description is a tad vague!? I have fitted a p28 ecu so would that be a different way of reading it? Thanks in advance! Alastair
  16. Cheers Knight, just want to help as i had problems before and people on here are VERY helpful! 1"£££$££"!!
  17. Then you're not a tiger. Then maybe we could find out via the part numbers on the shocker....if you bought complete units.
  18. They should be perfect as they are apparently from a mk2 v6..according to other happy purchasers of the same colour scheme off here!
  19. also.... It would be heplfull if the current HAPPY mgzs 180 suspension owners stepped forward and gave us info on what colour of springs they fitted to the front? May clear all this up and to have one of the "top 3 civic mods", we have to have white/blue spring set up to achieve this!
  20. Right, this company deserves it's own thread as there are a few posts on mg suspension regarding the above ebay seller. I have been supplied the wrong front suspension by CW Dismantlers. Car sits too high and handles like a duck on ice (exageration but you catch my drift). Supplied me with front springs that had yellow paint stripe on it. Found out that blue/white markings are for mg zs 180's AFTER 2002...which according to civic5 owners are perfect? CW Dismantlers are sending me blue and yellow springs as they dont have blue and white ones! Going to fit them as guy says there for mg zs up to 2002 and will do me Fingers crossed as postage will bankrupt me if they are the same height! Apparently there are different setups for the mgzs 180. That's what i was told today. Must be a lotto for the guys that have previously bought suspension from them as some people highly recommend them whilst others want to stab them! The guy said that they specialise in mg zs stuff and dont know what will suit civics etc, which is a fair point. They were in the process of digging out every suspension set up when i phoned, to look for colour markings on springs. At least they are trying to gain info as well for us civic owners! The seller told me i could either send suspension back and they would send me out the correct ones OR purchase them again and send the wrong stuff back at later date for refund. I done the latter as didn't want my car off the road....except thats where it belongs with the current suspension setup! If you have any problems with your suspension purchase then please phone this number between 8am and 2pm. CW Dismantlers; 01302 868 379 **note** if ordering from them on ebay you must state in the 'message to seller' bit what spring colour etc you want. Hope this clears up any doubts and saves future civic5 members getting hassle. Over and out Alastair
  21. But surely they can either refund our money or give us what we ordered? Others off this site have had suspension before and have been happy with it, so curely CW can swop over the suspension and keep us all kinda happy? I will be phoning them tomorrow at 8am after my shift and demanding that they sort out the dilemma. If they dont sort out the dilemma then i will inform them that there are a few people poised to take ebay action. Maybe that will make them think about trade descriptions act etc and sort it out before it snowballs into them being banned or something! Let you know details of conversation later....if they pick up the phone!
  22. Be careful as you bought the suspension for a CIVIC! They could throw that back at you though...but saying that, there not V6 ones! i didnt buy them for any particular purpose, i just felt like buying some v6 suspension. Lol, as you woke up and sat up then shouted "god damn it, I feel like i want V6 suspension today"! CW dismantlers have clearly stuffed up and should pay postage/courier to collect wrong parts. I bet that MGZS 180 parts could becoming harder to come by and they are sending out any old crap. Just as well we all noticed as some dozy people might not!
  23. We could just send him a link to this thread and let words of our members do the job? I emailed them last night (i work nightshift) and checked my email at 6pm tonight...NOTHING! They were quite happy to email my yesterday with abuse but when i identified the problem...silence!
  24. Having seen the recent post on here it seems that my shockers have been supplied incorrect! Correct front shocker part numbers; RNB000370, RNB000330 Part numbers i have been supplied; RNB000170, RNB000160 Also the front springs have a yellow stripe down then which according to other thread are from a 2.0L. WTF? Rear springs are blue which i'm not sure about tbh. I have emailed the ball bags to demand an explination on why this has happened as there system is DVLA tracked or whatever. blah blah blah.
  25. Be careful as you bought the suspension for a CIVIC! They could throw that back at you though...but saying that, there not V6 ones!
