  1. Intend to, but what else could be causing the white smoke? Sure it could be leaking, but if it was doing that, why would there be the white smoke?
  2. Plus, when I had a HG go on mg, only sign was white smoke, even after it let go, there was no mayo.
  3. Would any of those explain the white smoke though? Plus, I would expect to see signs (actual coolant, or white deposits of dried coolant) around possible leaks etc.
  4. I have hot air from blowers etc. If it has white smoke though, surely bleeding it wouldn't solve? Just trying to prepare for the worst.
  5. Well, I will have to get it confirmed at garage. Its using coolant though, no visible leaks, and its blowing a little white smoke from the exhaust. I think that means it has to be the HG? I did think it could be the inlet manifold gasket possibly, but then the collant wouldnt make it into the exhaust would it? No obvious mayo in the oil either.
  6. It looks fairly straightforward, just a lot of work.
  7. It gets worse, looks like the headgasket is on its way Coolant loss from reservoir, slight white smoke when revved, no signs of leaks. Will have to take car off the road, don't want to risk blowing it. Gonna do the head myself, thinking I need a headgasket set, new head bolts, new coolant, may as well replace thermostat, oil change whilst at it. Any reason I couldn't do this in a day on the drive?
  8. Thanks guys. Annoyed though, as I now have a rear left, not so slow puncture lol.
  9. Different people will tell you different things. I know it was meant to happen that any dash lights on would be a fail. Not sure if it has actually come into force yet though Sorry I can't be of any definite help.
  10. Thanks mate. Wheels need a finishing touch which should happen once I get paid.
  11. Well, my next mod is now on. Excuse the bad pics, will get better ones on my day off.
  12. 60 fitted, where from? That's pretty good
  13. Lovely mate! Does indeed look like she is well, and sounds great too
  14. Thanks for that mate. Yours is very nice too. love the wheels. May have missed it, but what wheel nuts are you running?
  15. To fit tapered wheel nuts to standard wheels. They are £1.20 each from Tegiwa, but I have found these for half the price. www.raceways.co.uk/Taper_to_radius_conversion_washer_for_bolts.htm Same thing?
  16. Yeah, I am now looking for a decent set of second hand 15" alloys to fit.
  17. Cheers, yeah the tester seemed a nice bloke, said on the phone he thought the exhaust was lovely sounding too! 50 odd year old bloke, and very decent.
  18. Well, it was MOT time today It's that time of year that a lot dread in case there is something you haven't noticed, or have put off. Well, it was booked in for 8.30 this morning, hadn't heard anything by 10.30, so rang up to be told she had sailed through, no advisories. MOT tester said it was obvious I look after it, and that she was a very clean car for the age. Chuffed!
  19. Cars looking good. Pulls of the white /silver combo really well
  20. Controversial perhaps, but I don't like that at all.
  21. Thanks guys, don't know why the original thread is so messed up though
  22. By now, both my fogs are cracked. So removed them and fitted CAF trumpets into the fog surrounds, with a CAF running to the de-resonated airbox containing a K&N panel filter And finally so far, bought KiNK43s catback exhaust, and got a mte to fit it:
  23. Fitted some smoked/clear side repeaters from an Accord. 99p Ebay bargain!!
  24. Got her lowered, and gave her a clean and in the above pic you can see my custom civic5 sticker and pistonheads sticker
  25. Black leather gear gaiter with red stitching. Must nicer than standard Also realised that the rear speakers didnt work at all. SO got these for £10 from ebay. No fitting pics, but prepare to be blown away with the most useless pic of them fitted lol
