  1. I was thinking the same, hope it wasn't a case of the work having been terribly.
  2. Seen some CP RACETEC ones on ebay for around £55 front and rear, and they say they have a correct model for the mb6
  3. Thanks mate, will have to do some research on part numbersand prices then.
  4. Thats a bit harsh, they must jave something they could give you, or are you ok without a car for a while?
  5. Oh, and will I need new bolts etc to fit my oem mb6 decat now it has another years ticket.
  6. Well car passws its MOT again today. Got some advisories this time though Rear brake lines slightly corroded Power steering pipe weeping RTA bushes have slight play So whats the rough damage for each of those being sorted?
  7. Thanks Tom, the only train I saw today was one of the maintenance ones, decided against that lol
  8. Beautiful day so out for a drive. Went up Cairngorm after Aviemore, so snapped a couple of quick pics View from Cairngorm And the view from the bridge at Aviemore station
  9. Fingers crossed. It looked like the old grease had gunked up and covered the contacts. Its been running fine all day so far. No more embarrassing 10 start attempts lol
  10. Well never mind. I have it sorted for now, took of the steering cowl and cleaned up the switch contacts, and all is good for now.
  11. Was there a time limit on the recall, or was it open ended. Typically mine has just started, a week before MOT.
  12. Hard to tell as I am on my tablet, but does the DC5 have bronze wheels and a cracked bumper, and is the DC2 rolling with purple finishing touches. If so, I see these regularly, quite a few smart hondas about here.
  13. Thanks mate. Had a quick tinker with a pic, as i tookmthem using my phone.
  14. Well, not bern on in ages, havent had money to do anything to the car, so apart from a quick wash, here it is. The windows and wheels still need done, as well as the trim.
  15. Gutted definitely, but might take it as an opportunity to have it ported and polished, new manifold, and do some kind of colour coding in engine bay while everything is apart.
  16. Well, yes it's a bummer, but if I carried on driving it, the damage it could cause may mean I would be without a car longer, so it's a small price to pay I guess.
  17. Well yeah, just spent money on wheels etc and tyres before the problem reared it's head, have a holiday at end of this month, it's just happened at wrong time. Not that there is ever a right time. Mind, if I can get the parts next month, will hopefully have it running again in September. A lot will depend on weather etc. Also going to take the opportunity to clean up engine bay a bit etc as it's apart.
  18. Yeah, it's exactly what the mg did, though I didn't realise until too late what the symptoms were pointing to. I was considering getting the cambelt done after, simply because I am not sure about doing that on the drive, mainly as I don't think I will be able to undo the crank pulley bolt. Apparently Honda charge a flat rate for cambelt changes here, in the region of £200. Am resigned to the fact that the car is going to be off the road for around 2 months
  19. Well I blend the system yesterday, keeping an eagle eye out for leaks during the process. Non spotted. After 43 miles of driving, the expansion tank is nearly empty, and still got white smoke from exhaust
  20. It's never over heated under my ownership (according to temp gauge anyway, but yeah, would be having head checked/skimmed)
