  1. Yeah, have learnt the hard way, not suited to all year round driving at all really. Apparently they could be causing a lot of road noise as they can wear erratically around the tyre circumference. Just ordered two Khumo Ecstas for the car, expenditure I didnt need and puts a downer on other plans this month.
  2. What sort of mileage are people getting out of their front tyres on MB6/MC2 s? I have done a little over 8000 miles on a set of Uniroyal Rainsport 2s, and too my absolute horror today, noticed the fronts are pretty much shot, whilst the rears are not even half worn. I generally keep an eye on them, but it seems that with the sudden warmer weather, the fronts have pretty much disintegrated, as they werent that bad when I checked about 500 miles ago. Now debating whether to go for a new wheels and tyres combo, or just get some front tyres.
  3. Very nice , very nice indeed. Have to say, mega jealous, but from what I have read, you deserve to enjoy this, and have done it very well. One question, and a strange one considering the spec and work,.Is your CAF trumpet mounted in the fog light blank? If so, what size, and how have you fitted it in there?
  4. currently on 119 miles, 1/4 tank used according to guage. Going to see how it goes, this is with 95ron as well.
  5. I am averaging roughly 30mpg. Although just filled up, drove sensibly, 43 miles and the gauge hasn't moved yet!
  6. Thats a win on the insurance front!! My insurance cost me the total of 270 fully comp this year on the VTI. Very happy.
  7. Hi mate Haven't been able to PM you as I think your inbox is full. Have left a message in your exhaust for sale thread. Cheers Paul
  8. I think the ek9 would fit, but you need the ek9 hub too. Sure i have read that somewhere. With the itr one it bolts straight on to the mb6
  9. Providing we can have a months notice, i could well be up for that too. Be nice to meet a few members.

Detailing clay. Its used to remove contaminants from the cars paint before all the polishing and waxing begins. A good finish is all in the preperation. That looks red because it has removed the Tcut used by the previous owner. All of the little black specs etc are contaminants that a wash alone wasnt able to remove.
  11. I would personally avoid black or even anthracite. As it may cheapen a pretty classy looking car. If you get them refurbished by a company, then I think shadiw chrome would be a good choice.
  12. Cant wait, always nice getting things for the car. I think now my MOT is sorted, I may be treating mine to something.
  13. Looking good mate! Very nice indeed. The wheels look ace too.
  14. Could always try getting some seats with rover 400/45 subframes. Pretty sure they would fit.
  15. I set mine to 32 all round last night, wheels need to be rebalanced though as I have vibration in the steering wheel at 70mph plus. Didnt have that with the old tyres on the wheels.
  16. So the same pressures as for the standard 195/55s? Wasnt sure if these would need to be different as they are a different size.
  17. What pressure are people running in these when fitted to an MB6?
  18. Lol, thats rich coming from you Craig Seem to remember it was somewhat of an adventure?!
  19. I think its a 269 from memory. I used the one I had fitted to my old MG.
  20. Lovely car mate, best colour. Is that a retrimmed steering wheel? Or a cover? What wheels are they?
