ATR spoiler is def easy job. Looks so much better than the standard spoiler as well. Does restrict views out the rear view mirror tho lol
-
Thanks buddy. Alfa spoiler is quite big if its the one im thinking of. But its your car mate, if u would like it then thats all that matters. would certainly be different.

Possible excessive pressure in cooling system
spudley1988 replied to spudley1988's topic in Engine & Chassis
Yea was awaiting the HG post lol. I'm obviously hoping its not but unsure how else to test if it is. At the moment cooling is normal again but that could easily change in days/weeks. Have a 1600 head so may just bang that fella on. -
Thanks man, appreciate all the comments

Possible excessive pressure in cooling system
spudley1988 replied to spudley1988's topic in Engine & Chassis
When i have done this before car will be fine for like 2 weeks then it starts again. So could air be getting into the system from somewhere? -
15-20mm doesnt seem much but the pics look like a good drop.

Hey thought I'd post up again on this as its still ongoing. Occassionally my temp gauge will go up to over half, can either be whilst driving or stationary. Whilst the gauge is up the fan stays n constantly. Once i put blowers to hot and blast them gauge comes down and car will be fine. It can then be fine for a day or a month. Also the coolant is going into the expansion tank but it never returns to the radiator so i have to often transfer the water back manually. I'm also losing oil but oil only gets used excessively after the gauge has risen. When i took the cap off the radiator the water in the expansion tank tried to burst out the top. Beside this heaters etc work fine, dont seem to lose much coolant either. There is probably more ive missed but does anyone have any clues as this is driving myself, and others, crazy lol.

My judder came from an extremely scored flywheel. Skimmed the wheel before fitting new clutch and its been smashing since.

If anyone can confirm how the ride height would be id def take them. Had to put coilover sleeves back on just now but cant go down as low as I'd like because it becomes bouncy and the sleeves are loose when the cars on the jack.

def man. welcome to the forum btw, and again love your MG man, lovely car. Need to give it a bit more boost out of the road end tho

spudley1988 replied to Jimmer's topic in Chassis
Yea it drove really well, huge difference in handling just wasnt happy with ride height. Have now put my coilover sleeve things back on but have fitted them better than previous owner did so car now sits better, handles great and is pretty stiff lol -
It is you whose post ive commented on. Thaks mate. Love your MG as well. always see it going past me mates house in tweedbank

FYI - my VTI-S with MGZS 180 suspension with UPDATED DC2 FRO
spudley1988 replied to Jimmer's topic in Chassis
hey thought I'd just drop a little post into this. I had been thinking about doing the mgzs/dc2 combo to my mb3, the dc2 front springs and shocks are fitted and the car still sits quite high. Def lower than standard but still sit really high especially compared to your drop. Is there a difference in ride hight between the jdm dc2's and the uk ones?? cheers -
Im having a few over heating issues with my mb3, totaly random as i could be driving around with the car running fine, next minute gauge increases to near on max, stop and pop heaters on and gauge drops and car can stay fine for ages. noticed im using alot of oil and my (top up required every couple of days) no signs of leaks. expansion bottle fills itself. Had my thermostat replaced and fitted a new rad cap and bled the system countless numbers of times. edging towards water pump and head gasket with stem seal replacement, but thought id ask to see if anyone had similar issues? Also leads me to my next question, i have a full D16z6 cylinder head sitting, does the cam shaft swap over? would using the inlet manifold and injectors improve the performance of my d15z8? If i swapped the complete head would i have to swap ecu's or would the vtec work properly with my d15z8 ecu? Appologies for putting up similar posts

So the mb lowering spring will def fit onto mgzs shocks? Also dont have mb springs at the mo, got standard shocks with the crappy ebay coilover sleeves. Took delivery of my mgzs shocks and springs few days ago but was just unsure what fitment of lowering springs id need lol.
-
Hey folks, sorry if this has been asked before but have tried searching and cannot find an answer. I've just recieved my mgzs springs and shocks but what springs do i go for to replace standard ones, mgzs? EK/EJ? or mb? any help or comments are welcomed thanks
